Staind716
Just passed the 200 mark and my game looks great and is very stable. I'm not trying to say that I have never had any conflict issues but I test each mod before adding a new one so when a problem does come up I know which one is causing the problem. Readme's and comments are the best way that I have found to keep conflicts to a minimum.
blaze1093
I have 123 ESP/ESM active, and I just passed 200 total mods. I've been working on this for about two weeks, and it's very stable. It's a laptop. Dual core 2.0 ghz processing, Radeon Mobile HD 3650, 4 GB of RAM. My computer does things that it rightfully shouldn't do. I have texture mods out the wazoo. I also run Wars in Skyrim as well as Civil Unrest. I get some stuttering in the very complex mountains in the west, but it's very playable. Just added Deus Mons. Pretty much needed since I'm OCD and am a display/hoarde addict. Should have seen my Oblivion bookshelves... every book, alphabetical. On Xbox. Took forever. deathknowz
Does your game still work? Yes? Add more mods.
Rennn
I have about 75 mods, all lore friendly, with no CTDs ever, and if there are any bugs I haven't noticed them. I always make sure a mod is either simple, or well tested before downloading, and I never install two mods that might conflict unless I'm certain that I know which one to uninstall if it breaks and how to uninstall it. PeterMartyr
250 mods and 0 props :=) Now run your Game without (Safety Load, Crash Fixes, SSME or SKSE.ini) like they had too. Your Game won't make it past the loading screen. So show some respect.
pyrophiliac777
If it is a ram problem, 6 gbs of ram isn't enough? I'm assuming you mean system ram, not video ram. if youre using windows xp, it should be fine. I'm using windows 7 64 bit and it eats up 4GB just on desktop. If youre using windows 7, i'd get more ram. I have 16 gb in my rig. also you need a 64 bit version of windows for it to see more than 3GB.

LordPal2020
Sorry for such the late late reply, but I beleive the max, including the officiAL plugins, when all combined, is like 254 (255 if including the main Oblivion.esm) .esm and .esp files in your data folder! But beware, like some have said before, if you go over 100 on the combined number of .esp and .esm files, you could get stuff like crashes and saves not wanting to load up! SO be careful if going past 100!!!
HeyYou
Sorry for such the late late reply, but I beleive the max, including the officiAL plugins, when all combined, is like 254 (255 if including the main Oblivion.esm) .esm and .esp files in your data folder! But beware, like some have said before, if you go over 100 on the combined number of .esp and .esm files, you could get stuff like crashes and saves not wanting to load up! SO be careful if going past 100!!!255 total is indeed the limit. Whether your game is stable or not depends on which mods you install. If you have a bunch of mods that all try and change the same thing, you are going to have issues. Load order, and appropriate patches are what make them play nice together. There are folks running over 400 mods (using merged files) that have a very stable game. I think I am running around 80 or so, and my game doesn't crash.
