AurianaValoria1
Is there any mod that does this? I remember that the level cap for the original NWN (including HotU) was 40. Is there a way to move the cap up in NWN2 from 30 to 40?
Tsongo
In the campaign editor of the toolset ( open toolset click plugins and select it ) there is a level cap and xp section. I presume you have to select the campaign you want to alter ( on the left ) then scroll down its properties on the right and change them then click save campaign. I've never done it and don't know how it works but that's where it is.
AurianaValoria1
Hmm...that's interesting. I didn't think it would be something so easy. Have you heard about any problems from messing with the XP and Level Cap? I don't want to accidentally mess up the game. Tsongo
Sorry I haven't reallly got any idea what it would do but I can't imagine it effecting anything one way to try it out would be to change it then start the game bring in your highest level character then use the console to test it. press the ` button, type in DebugMode1 then type givexp 100000 ( or whatever figure you want ) then DebugMode 0 press the ` again and see how far you can level your character. If something bad happens just set the campaign back to what it was if you finish up at a much higher level then you know you're alright.
shaughn
The game is hard coded and will max out at level 30. You can increase the experience cap and this will allow ECL to reach level 30 but they can't go higher than level 30. I believe that Pain or Skywing has been able to increase the max level with their script extender. I would suggest getting in touch with Pain on the Bioware board. kamalktk
30 is the hardcoded max. Unless you use Pain's work to get around that.
Tchos
When I was first told to contact that person, I had no idea who he was or how to find him, and "pain" is a very common word on BSN, whose search system doesn't allow you to search by user name. The particular "Pain" they're talking about is Painofdungeoneternal, whose profile is here. Edited April 29, 2012 by Tchos

GCoyote
Wouldn't it be easier to fake levels 31-40 with specialized artifacts that provide additional stackable increases in the level based stats plus selected Epic feats? For example, completing a quest gives the player a the "level 31 artifact" with what ever restrictions you want to code on it.
GFallen
Realms of Trinity works with "Epic Relevels", but that doesn't work with "artifacts", but with "free" stat points you add on every "relevel". AFAIK, a relevel means you get to rebuild your character from level 1 (but not level 1 itself). Note that this is limited by the fact that stats have a hard cap of 50 (+20 modifier). Stat increases (from items, rage etc.) have a cap of +12 (+6 modifier). Look here for other caps. The only server I know that gives you "real" levels after 30, is DungeonEternalX. I believe Pain uses NWNx4 to accomplish this. Edited August 17, 2012 by GFallen
