How to keep Skyrim SE interesting

When Skyrim SE is getting a bit boring, it is time to look to quest mods and companion mods with quests. The best quest mod for Skyrim is Interesting NPCs, but there are also many other excellent quest mods such as Questor's Questorium, Outlaws and Revolutionaries, Beyond Skyrim - Bruma, Falskaar, Helgen Reborn, and Death Mountain.

The companions with the most quests are Rigmor of Bruma, Vilja, and Anna NPCs. There are also many other companions that will add enjoyment to your game with quests such as Inigo, M'rissi - Tails of Trouble, Aurlyn Dawnstone, Auri from The Song of the Green, Sofia, and Recorder.

The companion mods that can interact with each other are Inigo, Vilja, Song of the Green. Song of the Green can also interact with three characters from Interesting NPCs.

All of these mods help extend the shelf life of Skyrim and Skyrim SE. Interesting NPCs SE can only be found at 3DNPC.com. The rest can all be found here at the Nexus using the search feature on the Skyrim SE page.

There are probably some I missed, but hopefully, others can fill in the rest.

Thanks for the helpful info. Some of these I'm not familiar with and I'm now going to check them out.

EDIT:

Looks like Death Mountain is hidden by author until he can fix it as time permits.

I also like setting "rules" for myself to actually role play the character (like - this is a mage I'm ONLY going to max out magic and health use items and take quests that make sense for that character setting). This also applies to buying and selling, looting, fast travel, etc. I find it actually makes a big difference.

Hellfire, I hear what you are saying about role-playing. I'm not much good at it since the only video games I previously had played were first person shooters on a PC. However, once I discovered Fallout 3, I became a fan of the open world Bethesda games. Since then I have played only Elder Scrolls and Fallout games (although I did spend over an hour on Witcher 3 before I returned to the Bethesda games).

If I had to choose a category for myself, it would be Jack of all trades. Maybe I lack the requisite imagination for traditional role-playing.

I have just installed ILuvLoading SSE. That certainly makes waiting for the game to load more interesting. You missed one DLC mod to check out. Yes I know it is not a Nexus supported mod but still a great mod . World of Rudra, pity it may well never be fully finished.
