LOOT operation failed error

I am unable to sort plugins in Vortex. Until two days ago it was working fine. I was playing around with plugin dependencies and set up some rules between the DLC files. Then I removed the rules. Now when I click Sort Now or enable Autosort, I receive the following error:

LOOT operation failed
message: More than one entry exists for "DLCWorkshop01.esm"

And Vortex does not update the load order. I ran this test with an empty profile - no plugins other than vanilla and DLC. When I review the rules, I see the following:

DLCCoast.esm loads after DLCRobot.esm and DLCworkshop01.esm

DLCNukaWorld.esm loads after DLCRobot.esm, DLCworkshop01.esm, DLCCoast.esm, DLCworkshop02.esm, and DLCworkshop03.esm

These also look like rules straight from LOOT because they are on the masterlist. If I click Edit, a bunch of check marks show up but I am unable to edit those checkboxes.

Anyways, I have a feeling like there is something I can do to fix this. I appreciate any help!

For reference:

Game: Fallout 4

Vortex Version: 0.14.1

Reported to Vortex Team: 4/26/2016

Mods Installed: ENB, F4SE, Dynaperf, BethINI, FO4Config outside Vortex

P.S. I also reinstalled Vortex but still have the issue.

Somehow it corrected itself. I don't think this was something I did but I can share, if others have this issue, that I manually edited the plugin dependencies in AppData\Roaming\Vortex\fallout4\userlist.yaml file, closed Vortex and opened it again. Don't know if that is what fixed this issue though.

Had the issue myself. It wasn't autocorrected mate, you actually solved it and help me to solve it too. I know the topic is old, but for everyone entering here hoping for a solution that's it. Just edit the extra entries in the userlist.yaml file for whatever esp vortex warning says and you done. Read edit3

Edit: Well it seems it doesn't entirely solve it, since it doesn't let me apply another group for that esp. I'll try removing all the entries registered to see if that works

Edit2: Idk what happens with Vortex that when I fix something it gets a way to break again. Now the message pops up with every esp i try to move from group to group. I supose it coldn't be easy

Edit3: Hopefully solved now. I just deleted the whole userlist.yaml file so it could be generate again. Seems it's now working properly, I hope still as this. Now I have to redo my whole load order again -.-

I keep hitting this since upgrading to the latest stable.

When updating an existing load order in vortex (changing plugin assigned groups, etc), it is creating new all lowercase entries for the ESP in the userlist.yaml file. Even if there is already an existing entry (showing the correct upper/lowercase of the plugin). Which gives the error about duplicate entries until you go in and delete the extra entry in the userlist.yaml file in your %appdata%\roaming\vortex directory.

I've been holding off on deleting the existing userlist.yaml and doing all my rule all over again as it's a complete ballache.

This is important info and you should report it, and also start a new thread about it
