Maharg67
Onward from Post #203 http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/ce322fb4-0bc0-48ab-b7a3-5bc9ffb07539_zps7p9gtnde.jpg The Curse of QuamaireOne 34.1[34]{34} AvastiaTye, DelentaTi, LalaneTama, other Aratorons went in a large group deep back into the ground. With them were a twenty-eight powerful Quatirans now openly wearing the lightly armoured robetunics of their own kind. Also with them went other folk of the island. They needed speed, and to be stealthy, but they also needed to reinforce the dire situation with CaembraZiv and EllessTane. The siege, of ZenrenQua, was not going well for the attacking Tooze because there had arisen fighting between different Tooze Factions. DelentaTi explained that her people had infiltrated Tooze settlements and had found a growing questioning, rebellion, amongst the population against necromancy, the evils of the priesthood that oppressed them and the many lies that they had been fed. To the surprise, of the Quatirans, there had already been others at work amongst the Tooze who had been supporting, organizing, even leading rebels. The final push for rebellion, had come, from the discovery that many young warriors sent to 'learn special abilities' at a secret location had instead been brutally sacrificed to the Great Enemy of Life. This was done by the priesthood so that they, and their cronies, could gain special powers and immortality. Now rebellion was sweeping across the hidden network of Tooze settlements and other sites. Temples, tablets, books, magical devices, and other such were being destroyed. Some said it was one of the Daedric Princes who had intervened to help the rebellion or that it was more than one. Others spoke of the Thirteen Divinities being the Great Divinity, the Lesser Divinities and the Nine Divines. Many said it was they and yet others as if many deities were working against the Great Enemy of Life, even those linked with such as necromancy. Then there were others such as the unlifen damphirs and vampires who did not wish to be enslaved by the Great Enemy. But the biggest surprises were yet to come as the war spread outwards, both above and below the ground. Edited June 29, 2015 by Maharg67
Maharg67
http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/ce322fb4-0bc0-48ab-b7a3-5bc9ffb07539_zps7p9gtnde.jpg The Curse of QuamaireOne 35.1[35]{35} The ambushers struck at the group, heading towards the Network-Towers, and fighting broke out savagely. Then the attackers melted away as quickly as they had struck. They were not undead but brutal hobgoblins, an uncommon warrior people who considered all to be enemies but other goblinfolk be they gremlins, gargoyles, goblins or of other kinds. They did not like such as hoblins or hybrids would put put up with them. The hobgoblins had been only testing the group but escaped with injuries, attesting the dangerous abilities of those in the group including the superb Aratoron warriors. The group continued on but the priestess, and the Quatirans, could 'sense' that the hobgoblins were following. AvastiaTye carefully reached out to them, with her mind, and reluctantly the hobgoblin leaders chose to meet the group in a large glowcrystal lit cavern where goblinfolk lived and cultivated odd cave growths like super sized pale mushrooms, glowmoss and amazingly useful mogsberries. The hulking adult-female hobgoblin sat on a big boulder, as if it was some kind of throne, and as scarred as she was, she had some newish ones. "Goblinfolk, and allies, are fighting the undead in the Caverns of Anguish. Damphirs have come to assist us, to attack the undead. We are great warriors but they are beyond us. You Aratoron warriors could train us so that we will improve our fighting skills. As the Great Caradisheie once stated, we need better strategy, tactics and logistics; I am not not sure what these mean but you can teach us. We will have a years long alliance for the future, as well as the present."The priestess nodded. "Hobgoblins are known to keep your word once a vow is made through your ancestors and your God and Goddess."The hobgoblin grinned. "Yes, you will get our oath but we expect a binding oath in return. The battle, in Anguish Caverns, is a bloody stalemate but we fear enemy reinforcements are coming too soon. We do not know where so many of the undead are coming from, what living population were they created from."AvastiaTye sighed. "Neither do we but together we may learn the truth though that truth might not be easy to take. The histories, the undeath, are terrible."The hobgoblin leader, ShazShaziti, nodded. "We are only too aware of that fact." Edited June 29, 2015 by Maharg67
Maharg67
http://i592.photobucket.com/albums/tt9/Dragonpen61/Forum%20Additives/ce322fb4-0bc0-48ab-b7a3-5bc9ffb07539_zps7p9gtnde.jpg The Curse of QuamaireOne 36.1[36]{36} The undead attacks began, against the Network-Towers Caverns, as testing raids. Most of the aggressive creatures were zombies but there were many basic armour-arms using ghouls, necromantic magical armour-arms using vampires, even more dangerous lichs and some other kinds of undead monsters. The attacks gained little, for the attackers, thanks to lots of carefully emplaced detection, defence and even offences including much magic. Hidden crossbows fired magical bolts. Pits opened under shambling zombies, full of silverwood spikes, and fast walking ghouls. Holy water was splashed, or otherwise struck against, all of the undead. Anti-undeath magic wards exploded or burst into blinding light or screamed alarms or did other trickeries. The lesser undead were easily destroyed, the mediate undead often destroyed with damaged survivors fleeing. Yet the defenders knew that the testing raids were just the very start of troubles to come. Wards had to be quickly renewed and booby-traps redone but often moved and changed them so that no enemies could remember where-what they were. Deleted54170User
Have in common? That is an understatement. Which of the Ancient Philosophers are you presently studying? Let me make my question with more care. Which of the Ancient Philosophers work, words, etc. are you preferring to think about?
Maharg67
I am reflecting on what I consider to be the basic philosophies of Buddha. Pagafyr, I am listening to the 'silence' while letting go diversions, distractions, illusions. It is not easy but one needs to do such with out trying to do so for trying to do so undermines the very inner quiet itself. Feel free to post here, now and then, and not just as feedback! Also thanks for the feedback!
Deleted54170User
I am reflecting on what I consider to be the basic philosophies of Buddha. Pagafyr, I am listening to the 'silence' while letting go diversions, distractions, illusions. It is not easy but one needs to do such with out trying to do so for trying to do so undermines the very inner quiet itself. Feel free to post here, now and then, and not just as feedback! Also thanks for the feedback! Do you see what I see and see it in the same way that I see it? Pagafyr thought before it faded from the continuum: I know not for sure. Do you hear what I hear and hear it in the same way that I hear it? Pagafyr thought before it faded from the continuum: I know not for certain. Do you smell what I smell and smell it in the same way that I smell it? Pagafyr thought before it faded from the continuum: I know not absolutely. If we smell smoke will we both determine whether it is a fire in a space we can either cook on, should put water on, or run away from before it consumes our body? Do you taste what I taste and taste it in the same way that I taste it? Pagafyr thought before it faded from the continuum: I know not without sharing. If it tastes like chicken maybe? Do you touch what I touch and feel it in the same way that I feel it? Pagafyr thought before it faded from the continuum: I know not unless it happened from my center while gravitating within your universal mindset. Graham are you the father of a child or children? If so then you are no longer a singularity; you have become a duplicity. _____________________________________________________________ Assumptions aside, what do we have in common in these and other ways? _____________________________________________________________ Pagafyr thought before it faded from the continuum:Can we perform all the same evaluations? If we are a healthy example of human form, maybe. Do we feel the space on our skin first, smell the air that waffs around disturbing our tiny hairs on our body second, hear the rustling caused by movement of others tiny and large third, then see what occurs to attract our attention with sight fourth, and fifth do we subdue what will allow us to taste of it before we close our minds blocking out what we project in hopes that what all we perceive what is in our mouth and all its concepts is before it passes from our laboratory? Do we share a sixth sense? Do you take something into your mouth tasting it and analysing all it contains before choosing to swallow to allow another even more amazing decimation of values so your mind can grasp the composition of smaller particles from the other universes smaller than the dust your flesh makes of itself? Is our internal thought something we imagined creating a visualization to fill our lonesome void to make all we sense outside our minds seem real to us? Why do I need to consider what I did not know unless I know the answer will fill the void of longing for understanding what is not me because the answer fills me with nothing more than another question which I can quest for before breaking the silence because I felt an internal mingling from some place beneath my higher status which was disrupting my focus on another event? :nuke: "FART" :nuke: It wasn't me!
Maharg67
DC TorchwoodOne 44.1[62]Juno Base Challenges The Doctor's companions turned out to be mostly cloned copies of real former companions. The Romanas were originals, as were some others including RiverSong, his wife. The Doctor did not know where the clones had come from, or those such as the Romanas. Only he, RiverSong, and the K9 robots had been in the DocTARDIS when it was somehow abducted from time-space. When he had awoken, having blacked out, he found many new companions. There had been other discoveries such as the entrapment of the DocTARDIS in the seemingly impossible chamber. A TARDIS worked with natural laws of the universe, sometimes more than one universe, but the laws were all twisted in that chamber. Companions joined with the expeditionary group. Some of the clones had inherited knowledge, memories, of Torchwood people. There was Martha, the African British woman doctor, and Rose the young English woman who had gone on to become an actress on BBC TV. Many others were before, or after, the Doctor had been in touch with Torchwood. Except it was another version of Torchwood. It had been far bigger, more official, and more UNIT like. The other Jack Harkness, named Jane Harkness, was a woman but was also an undying alien; she did not lead Torchwood but only a special taskforce based in Cardiff, Wales. Yet even that taskforce was larger than Jack Harkness' version of Torchwood. Martha smiled, a Martha that was almost identical to the Martha that Jack Harkness had met. "Our version, of Terra (the Earth) was more advanced than yours, even by the same international calendars. By 2001AD we had a thriving Lunar Colony, five space-stations in low orbit around Terra and a special, part time staffed, base inside the Mars moon of Deimos. Our version of Mars is larger than yours and the Martian moons are both larger and are globes. We had ocean floating, and continental shelf, cities. We had good enough climate control to fix up the greenhouse effect. We cleansed low orbit of dangerous junk and have done much fixing of the damaged world environment." Then she sighed. "We have our own special problems. The Lunar Labyrinth full of selenites, alien insectoid creatures. Martian trinoid aliens with nine tentacular limbs being three legs, three arms and three eye-sensor limbs. There are daleks, cybermen, yuppies, mimes and much else to deal with." Maharg67
DC TorchwoodOne 44.2[63]Juno Base Challenges Jack grinned softly. "I would like to meet this female version of myself; that should be fun." Both Gwen, and Martha, sighed. Gwen gave Jack a sharp frown. "Can you stop thinking about 'that' for at least a day or so? Really, you are embarrassing to take places." Jack tried to look ashamed but failed to do so. Then he looked serious. "Do you have any idea who created you clones, and why they did?" Martha shook her head. "The Doctor has asked us many questions, has done tests, but has established only that the cloning process was extremely advanced. It could even be the work of TimeLords, so good is it." K9A3 shot past, low flying through the air, a squared off kind of doggy shape. Even as it did, some of its lights were flashing red and it was speaking. "Alert, alert, alert, all TARDIS occupants to go at once to nearest emergency antechambers and to secure yourselves in what ever way you need to." A hard shiver went through the exotic machine but also a sparkling that went through the air. Everybody was on the move, already, or was soon moving. Then Jack was in a special antechamber, was securing himself into a special chair, as were the other Torchwood people in that place. As soon as they had done so there was another sparkling shimmer and all of them blacked out.
