H4RDC0R3V1B3Z
After spending many levels wondering why I haven't come across anywhere being attacked by Vampires, I just found out that Bethesda sneaky-patched the removal of said attacks. Was it really that much of a problem? In the God-knows how many hours I spent on the 360, I can only recall ONE person ever dying from them. And NONE on the PC, have died whatsoever. Even if they did, and it happened to be somebody who remotely cared about, resurrect. Makes me wonder just how bad people must be at fighting and positioning, to warrant a drastic change such as this. It's ridiculously-simple to defeat them before they kill anybody of note. Put yourself in-between the Vampires and whoever they attack. Majority of the time, they are near the gates anyhow, where the Guards are. Job done. So, the main point of this post/whinge; Is there a mod that re-enables them? I've had a look, but I am often blind when it comes to searching for things on the Wide, Wide World of Web. EDIT: Ignore that. In typical fashion, I found it after posting (even though I was searching beforehand). Useless lol. Arthmoor
In answer to your original question, yes, those attacks were highly annoying and spawned a number of mods to either disable them entirely or to mitigate the damage they caused to NPCs. People had been complaining about them for YEARS since Dawnguard first came out. It definitely came as a quiet but welcome surprise when they stealth patched those attacks out of the game. H4RDC0R3V1B3Z
Meh, I never had an issue with them. Especially not on PC, that's what mods are for. But each to their own, and all that. I fixed it anyhow.
