kthompsen
Not sure why they'd do High Rock, when we already have Daggerfall. I would hope it's somewhere new.
Moksha8088
Elder Scrolls 6 would not come out in the same year as Fallout 76. Mountainous region next to the sea. Highrock? It could well be a totally online game like FO 76 complete with beloved microtransactions which promise continuous monetization from Mom's credit card to the good folks at Zenimax, and in exchange, you will get a glorious array of armors available in several colors which can be purchased separately. BlackRelic27
I'm pretty confident this is just straight up single player. They're not giving up on single player; Starfield is going to be one. Fallout 76 is basically just the Fallout equivilant of Elder Scrolls Online. I wouldn't be surprised if very, very early plans are in the pipeline for a "proper" Fallout 5 after EO VI, tbh. I don't think they're phasing anything out on the single player end as opposed to just getting into the online thing as well. Maybe I'm majorly naïve but I'm just not seeing the complete takeover like many are fearing. Edited June 11, 2018 by SacredKnight81
kthompsen
They're definitely not dropping single player. People need to relax. They're not EA. In fact, they just made fun of EA in a vid recently, when EA canceled that Star Wars game and said no one wanted single player. What EA fails to realize is that people don't want THEIR games. Not ALL single player games.
LeddBate
Well... dang. Boy, did I vote wrong. Oh, well. I'm really pleased to have been wrong about this. Now, how long will the development cycle be for TES6? Let's see... roughly 3 and a half years for Oblivion, right? They delayed the PC launch for about 4 months to coincide with the Xbox version if I remember correctly. Skyrim took nearly 4 years (and at that they were pushing it out the door to hit their silly 11-11-11 launch date.) So how long will this production cycle time be? Will the game be based on a new engine? Will open modding be allowed or will this be Creation Club (or something similar) only? Most importantly, will I even still be alive when it is finally released? Sure, it's nice to get 30% off at most restaurants. But I'd rather be young enough to know I've got a decent chance of seeing this game come out.

Todd hinted at something like this at a previous show a couple of years ago.. That they couldn't do what they wanted for the new ES without new technology. Hope the grandkids can experience at least part of the Golden Age of Modding. I need to latch on to SacredKnight's optimism that the single-player experience will not be abandoned. Long live the first person, open world, non-linear, RPG-shooters! Edited June 12, 2018 by Moksha8088

I don't know, maybe we'll be dead by the time TES6 comes out, if development is just now getting priority. Start a kickstarter program for Eternal life machines? Bethesda loses customers to the Grim Reaper. I wish they could speed things up a bit. I am definitely running out of time.
