Can someone else post here? I'm getting lonely!

As the title says. It's cripplingly embarrassing to be the only poster on a Nexus forum.... :ermm:

Surely someone has a problem? First Person view? Lenses melting in their HMD? Trying to drink beer while wearing an Oculus Rift and playing Skyrim? How hygienic it is to use VR when suffering from a major cold?

Thanks! I've only just started and I have had a battle to get it from hideously blurry to something I feel I can live with.

It's been partly a disappointment, partly an amazing experience.

Once modded (Bijin, Textures, etc) it's weird seeing people as 3-D real people! But scaling can be odd.

By a minor INI adjustment I can see stuff like weapons very close up, which is good for modded weapons with detail.

I think I'll get used to it - but it is going to take time.

Thanks for calling by!

Honestly I can't wait until we are a couple of years in. Developments are going more slowly than I expected. I want the quality to improve, games to be playable without spending hours configuring and the oculus to decrease in size and weight before I hop on the vr hype.

But if there is one game vr could be amazing in, it is Skyrim, especially modded! In a couple of years we are able to make all textures fotorealisric with new gpu and CPU power, exiting!

  • 1 month later...

I sympathize... but I don't think I'll be using VR anytime soon.

It's cool that Bethesda are among the only ones doing a full fledged VR title though. So I kind of wish it did actually get some love (just not from me :P). I can't believe EA hasn't made a Mirror's Edge port or something. That'd be perfect.

Hi. I've actually just started playing the PC Skyrim VR version using the PSVR headset, via the software TrinusPSVR. Only added about 60 mods so far, but it's been awesome! The sense of scale is amazing. Walking the normal roads that I have walked on for a 1000 hours actually undulate now and some of them have seriously steep inclines.

I had to stop playing last night though as there is a heatwave in the UK and I was sweating profusely with the headset on, I couldn't take it anymore.

I have been playing using a 360 controller and on a normal modded pc Skyrim/SE I religiously use a mod called Better Xbox360 Controller - 8 Hotkeys quicksave -Load

HERE :

I have tried it but it doesn't work in VR unfortunately. It adds 8 hotkeys to your D-Pad, This is the one mod I miss above all others playing the VR version. If anyone could direct me how to get it to work, or offer a similar alternative, I would be very grateful. Thanks.

"Sweating" and "Playing Skyrim" just doesn't fit at all

You guys are tempting me to try it out though. I'm not too demanding on mods. I doubt there's much I wouldn't miss or wouldn't run on a VR version.
