nosisab
hey, I'm making a mage character, mainly to take advantage of midas magic, then i found the lich kings helm by jojio, the enchantments simply screamed at me that i needed to use it for my mage (restore magicka and fortify strength on a mage with a sword just seems...right, ya know?) so i know i'm gonna use havy armor, however i need a sword (frostmourne is a last resort, looks a bit too evil for my liking) and armor that'll go well with them, as well as anything else that would work well, can anyone help me? oh, and please use links, search engines hate me for some reasonTry the Afinity Sword, may be exactly what you want for almost any character type. endgamecutter
i don't know about nico's, i already have it, but it seems too...small to go well with lich kings helm. the afinity sword looks good and sounds interesting, but i hate leaving my anti-spell reflect tool to chance, and noble plate armory looks like it may have the same issue, though i like the textures. for a weapon i think I'll probably take the dead knights sword, or something from apothisis (i enjoy flame effects, go well with mages) but if anyone knows something else, please speak up, armor though, the only thing i could find that went well with the helm was pale_riders berserker, but the shoulder always blocks he screen when attacking, and its too damn inconvienient to work due to that. anyone else know anything good? The weapon in no way change the character or his/her attributes or conditions. It changes itself reflecting those. Edit: the chances refers to the critical or kill rates. endgamecutter
i may have misread it, but i think it said that the sword determines its damage right before the hit, to me, that sounds like it'll be a pain to use because i might be trying to kill someone with it, but said person might be non-evil without me knowing it, therefore weakening me. I prefer damage i can rely on, like any one of dall's weapons, but without the drastic overpowering

endgamecutter
apophis looks pretty good, but the armor is either too bright/dark depending on the lich helm texture (knight's) or too small for proportions sake to go with the crown (heavy). the weapons (mageblade and dragonflame) look like viable options, though i can't find the damn mageblade(mind telling me where it is? it IS your mod after all)and dragon's flame is pretty nice, though currently mageblade is more likely (for offhanded staves). I've been hunting for a good mod to go with it too, even after i posted this topic, and i'm beginning to think (meaning I'm almost possitive) that I'm never gonna find the perfect armor for it (by my opinion atleast) until jojio makes the armor (assuming he does). It wasn't even the base mesh I loved it for, (though it was still awesome) it was more for the enchantment. its hard to find gear with good enchantments, and most enchantments the player can make are severely underpowered (or overpowered, if you use the high-end runeskulls by exnem(least I think those were by him...)) So i was looking for enchanted gear, and Jojio's Morrigan set looked pretty good (enchanted helm yet again) but if anyone else knows a good armor set (or mthods to gain good and balanced enchantments on player-made armor) it would really help. I prefer damage i can rely on, like any one of dall's weapons, but without the drastic overpoweringSeems the description must be rewrite.most weapons have a range of damage they inflict, it holds true to the "normal" damage of Afinity, what change in it is that this value is dependent of your level and some attributes (and this is calculated once, as the player enters combat mode and so it is the same as a normal weapon). The "magical" damage is somewhat different, it aways give full damage in the health, again with certain range, but it ignore armor and can't be deflected... so it can hurt that though gargoyles and others from OOO and Martingen's monsters that can put down a bunch of ogres without suffering a scratch. Again, what is really dependent of "luck" is your own luck and the foes when accounting for the critical (severe direct damage and push the foe away) or just kill him in in one blow, despite its hit points. Some could think this weapon as overpower and wouldn't be much wrong. Just don't rely on luck to enter head down, low level in a helpless battle. Other than it, the weapon can save the player's life sometimes, but is designed so it doesn't kill the fun altogether the foes.About the "non evil" this implies just it will deliver half "magic" damage (the normal one aways apply at full extent) and never will use the "kill" feature, but will kill by the normal health loss means (remember this applies only to NPCs, not creatures). But evil ones suffers heavier damage and undead, it's hated enemies suffers yet more. Edit: Indeed what all this implies is the weapon is "leveled" but does it in a dynamic way, instead the common leveled ones that, without mods, is aways a weapon as good as the level the player got it, becoming outdated very soon.
