alazx91
Hi, I'm looking for a mod that allows you to use a certain armor appearance to override what you are currently wearing, but keeping the item stats. For example using a full set of combat armor(or whatever armor combination you want to wear) but make it look like you are wearing a helmeted cage armor. Or if it's possible to edit an already existing clothing item(army fatigues for example) to make it behave like a ''costume'' and override the appearance of the armor that you are wearing over it. JimmyRJump
There's an Invisible Armor mod that allows you to wear whatever clothes with an armor on top but the armor can't be seen. Then there's the Any Armor On Any Clothing mod that allows for armor to be worn atop clothes over which you normally can't wear armor. When using both mods, install the Any Armor first and then overwrite with Invisible Armor.
alazx91
Checked the invisible armor mod and I guess it could work, I want my character to look like he's wearing helmeted cage armor(HCA) no matter whatever actual armor items he's using, except maybe power armor. I tried using army fatigues as a mold and then editing it with fo4edit to make it look like HCA ,but it seems that if I don't mark the same body slots stuff like the helmet or the chest plate won't show and it will just look like the drifter outfit, however when I mark those extra body slots in the checklist it won't let me wear armor over it just like the vanilla HCA. sopmac45
JimmyRJump gave you a good choice, personally, I wear the Nano Suit White ( it does make use a Stimpak automatically if my health goes down to 35 points so I stay longer in combat ) and on the top of it, a combat armor with the mask from Nano and a Tek Optical visor so I can see my enemies in red and my allies in blue. I did not know there was an invisible armor mod and that is a very good choice but in my case, with WOTC setup to spawn a lot of enemies and playing on a Very Hard difficulty, I need some kind of protection so that is why I chose that combination. Just to let you know.
