jkruse05
In reviewing the Fallout 76 footage from the Xbox conference I saw a very familiar looking barrel on one weapon. So that problem might be addressed.

montky
it might be,if they keyframe the belt as a decal-field.its not so much the physical rheometry or phys modelling,it's "what if it malfunctions/has belt-stuff-up?" and of course, there'll be folks with "Pinball-blaster variable fire-rate weapons",which have non-linear fire rates hehe. I saw a couple of sneak-peaks into FO;76,and there does seem to be some 'belt-fed open-bolt DAKKA DAKKA" there.
jkruse05
Well, we saw the weapon in more detail during the Bethesda press conference and it looks like they went with the MG32 style drum magazine with no belt showing. That, plus it being generally unlikely that Fallout 76 will support mods means it's no help really.
blackninja50
I pre ordered vault 76 and I'm yanking the mesh, textures, animation and rigging it up in fallout 4. I'm getting that gun damn it!
sinlessorrow
I have a feeling the best thing to come from FO76 will be all the new assets and animations we will be able to rip out of the game and port to FO4.
