Two Handed Swords and Scabbards Floating

Hi! As the title says i'm having a really strange problem with two handed swords floating a good many inches away from the bodies of any male character that equips them (PC or NPC) I know that Skyrim has always had a small gap between the body and scabbard but this one really takes the biscuit! I've been trying to figure out why this is happening for ages now and i'm at my wits end trying to sort it. I do use mods but reinstalling/ deactivating them make no difference. I've tried reinstalling the game as well and that hasn't made a difference either. The funny thing is they sit perfectly on the backs of female characters so it's a male only problem. I have no mods that alter male bodies in anyway and the only other mods I have that effect weapons are Immersive Weapons and Better Shaped Weapons (and having read through the Nexus page of BSW the mod author is adamant that his mod could not cause such problems). I also have XP32 installed but that doesn't seem to be causing the problem either. Here's a few screenshots to show you what I mean. I apologize for being "Captain Obvious" here, but are you sure you're using the XP32 Maximum Skeleton Special Extended - XPMSSE version rather than the old LE version? Just checking...

If you are certain it's not the skeleton, list your entire mod load order and we'll see if something leaps out at us.

It may be worth noting that I have converted a few of the mods I use from Oldrim to SE however disabling those ones did nothing to solve the problem. In case you need to know though, the converted mods are:

I'm also using SKSE64, FNIS and an ENB from Nexus. It may yet be a skeleton problem but I just cant think of anything else i'm using that could effect the model in that way :I

Hmm. I'm only familiar with about 40% of your mods. Nothing is leaping out at me except maybe... Did you disable Race Menu? I'm not aware that it had been ported to SE. Did I miss that?

 

If that isn't it, and no one else has any suggestions, the only thing left I can think of is to do it the hard way. Disable ALL mods (other than the DLC's and unofficial patch) and load back into a save. You'll get the standard warnings, but you know about that. Are the weapons on males now at the correct distance? If not, maybe verify your game files/clean your cache. If so, add 10 mods (and any dependencies they need) back in and reload the save. Keep doing that until the problem pops up again. Then you'll only have ten mods to go through to find the culprit.

This skeleton doesn't guarantee everything either. For instance, the dagger on back is ridiculously so far off the female back it is floating. Fine on male. I don't know how to edit that so I will leave it at that.

 

I vaguely noticed the floating swords too. But it did not bother me enough to make me remember if it was an issue.
