Of the 13 other items were the following: three odd black eyebots with some kind of exotic sensor rod instead of laserguns; three oversized versions of stimpaks, each with a system of three kinds of usable needles; three odd raygunpistols; three exotic-impractical looking helmets; one grey metallic cube that was 20 centimetres high-wide-long.

Jack spoke. "I somehow know just what to do." He walked over to the cube and touched it. At once all of the dozen, other, items vanished away with a soft shimmering. "The sensoreyebots, the multistimpacks, the multiple mode elemental raygunpistols, the mindhelmets, all will be needed at different times for a great conspiracy type mystery to be solved. The transcube also has other 'tricks'." He tapped it again and suddenly it was a small cube shaped emblem hanging around his neck on a grey metallic chain.

Jack used the 'transcube' to make all but one copperish flatcanister vanish. This he tapped so that it expanded outwards in all ways to be four times bigger than it had been before it opened to reveal some useful weapons, tools and other devices of general use in the DCWastelands along with some other areas of the devastated world. There were supplies to go with them such as universal charge cellpacks and refiller-needles for stimpaks. The equipment-supplies were of more refined types of Wasteland hitech and not such as pipeguns or basic hunting rifles.

Jack closed the now empty canister, it shrank down to its previous size, and he indicated a square on the middle-top of the lid. "As you probably noted, the indicator square glowed green before I opened the canister but now glows red. Slowly-steadily it will go from red to amber to orange to yellow to green; when it is glowing green again the telecanister will be full again of general hitech equipment-supplies as teleported in from some unknown source. There was experimentation being done with such supertech even before Doomsday struck so it is definately not magic and neither is the transcube or other special devices that we found on that table; it does indicate that we have powerful, very well equipped, allies who wish for now to keep their identities hidden from us. I have a good guesstimation of who-what they are but for the moment will keep that information to myself."

The group began to look around, to check on what was there and beyond the doors.

Changed previous post in that instead of three differently colour coded raygunpistols the three are identical to each other; also the exotic transdimensional transcanisters expand to be used and shrink for easier storage.

MadamExplorer observed the series of what looked like zoo enclosures filled with miniaturised organisms and landscapes. In truth everything 'inside' the enclosures were their normal size but the containment areas were transdimensional. She examined a piece of Australian Wastelands where a pack of mutated kangaroos, kangaclaws, were busy devouring mutated long grasses while remaining alert for threats.

"What is happening in WashingtonDC is having rippling effects across this world and perhaps beyond it." She spoke even as FrancisDaHapplin poured tea into two oversized teacups, steam soon rising from both.

Two short, furry, humanoids were busy slurping warm 'milk tea' that was in truth milk with only a dash of tea. They were adorable awoks of the mixed folk of awoks, ewoks, iwoks, owoks and uwoks. In theory they were domestic labour and in fact they spent a lot of time sleeping, eating snacks, grooming and sometimes even working.

FrancisDaHapplin studied his beloved awok companions before stretching out one 'elastic' arm to carefully wipe crumbs off a furry face from the previous devouring of a creamy creambun with extra cream.

"The LifeSanctuaries instruments have picked up concerning signs of slowly growing 'phasewise turbulance'. The LifeSanctuaries Council has stepped up rescue efforts but, as you know, both our mandate and resources are far too limited for our liking."

MadamExplorer frowned softly after taking her first sip of hot, 'sharp', tea. "In theory neither President Oblama, and the United States Federacy, or President Thumpen and the United States Confederacy, should exist."

The tall man figure gave a rather slow, rolling, shrug. "Do please remember that, in theory, none of this world should exist. Yet what are such in the face of ever evolving, often conflicting, realities. This existence, perhaps quasiexistence, is in isolation from the greater existence meaning greater forces have more than taken note of what is happening here."

MadamExplorer noted an enclosure showing a large part of the DC Wastelands complete with radghouls and radmolerats along with other denizens.

She knew this, of course, along with much else but said nothing of it out loud. Why not? Because FrancisDaHapplin was himself an enigma. He smiled at the two awoks. "Awoks are real, and wonderful, but sythentic fakes are being made of many entities that originally exist on-in this world. Find the source of those and learn much as linked to the truly ancient, triple concealed, triple existing places deep beneath the Wastelands and Wastewaters. In Hahahaha's Third Volume of Mathaphilosphical Impossibilies it is written that the intervention of the GreatEnemy, through the SecretEnemy, involved plunging deeply into the impossible past in such a way as to cojoin both with the creation of truly ancient hidden megastructures who mysteries reflect those of past, present and future damnation but also of hope."

As far as the Wanderer knew, there was no such publication as Hahahaha's Third Volume of Mathaphilosphical Impossibilies but under the circumstances, oddly enough, this did not matter.

He yawned greatly and then looked very tired. "Beneath that which is beneath RivetCity, that is yet to be discovered, is a way to travel through vastly ancient tunnels to where one will be at extremely below the very social, and historical, center of the GrandMall but not quite the urban geographical one."

Then he was sleeping and soon both awoks were curled up, together, on his lap snoozing away.

That aspect, of the Wanderer, stood for some time in another large room looking into a large 'space compressed enclosure' showing where FrancisDaHapplin was sleeping at the table with his two companions. In truth they were not really awoks but elemental shapechangers put there to protect him along with others such as the young woman who was busy clearing and cleaning. She was not really one who looked to be a late 19th Century housemaid from Victorian England.

Engima, or not, FrancisDaHapplin had managed to pass over some important information even if it was fairly vague; it would be soon acted upon.

How many aspects of the Wanderer had materialised so far.

MasterLaw, alias Jack, was with the DCFA while being in the hidden speakeasy in the DCGrandMall.

MadamExplorer was still in the secret LifeSanctuary where FrancisDaHapplin was 'ensconced' quite happily.

MrWalker was still busy teleporting across the world to carry out mainly small-important tasks but would go to DC.

MrsMystery was visiting various settlements, of different types, to assist in making them more secure and life supporting.

MissGaia remained with the GaiaInstitute.

MissFortune, MrStranger and MasterMany were steadily heading towards WashingtonDC from different directions.

That was eight aspects of the Wanderer but what of the other five, if they had actually materialised?

Six doors were found in the hidden speakeasy being on three walls.

Two wooden doors, with one wall, led to moderately large storerooms half full of useful items of which some were in basic statuscontainers and even more preservers. In one storeroom was a deactivated protectron robot in its own bay.

The two other wooden doors, into another pair of chambers, turned out to be truly of armoured metal disguised by thin sheets of genuine wood, at least on the one side. One led into a big chamber with 12 virtreality capsulechairs and the other into a big room with 12 dreamcatcher capsulechairs. Each had lots of support hardware along with extra equipment and supplies. The two chambers had been hidden because the USFG (US Federal Government) had been attempting, largely successfully, to take all such hihitech for use by government but only partly by the military.

It was the metal doors that led to exotic surprises.

One led to a secondary set of chambers being together a small bunker with excellent facilities including two dorms, varuiys ablutions, two kitchens serving two cafeterias, a workshop, a laboratory, a 3Dprinter workshop, two big offices, an armoury, five large storerooms and a few others. There was a supercomputer networksystem complete with terminals, turrets and remotebots. The more exotic features were a holographic projection chamber, a small 3Dcinema, an amazing library study and what looked like some kind of combination of museum and gallery but, more than that, a big room with 13 cable teleport cubicles being one small-big, three small-medium and nine small-small.

The other metal door led to a downwards going spiral rampwell.

It was then that Jack surprised the others with his words. "We do not send anybody down there until we are all better prepared to do so. There are wonders down there but also horrors along with mostly more neutral type stuff. For now we seek out any more possible secrets in this place."

MasterLaw's team found a secret door that lead to another rampwell but opposite away from the first one discovered. This one led down to a lobby like chamber with a big counter. It was a kind of hub into which were linked tunnels through which visitors came sneakily to the place, along with a way to a moderately large underground carpark, and another way from a WashingtonDC subway station not officially listed. Yet the 'biggest' find was a chamber of cableless teleport cubicles of much longer distance use than any cable teleport unit. Such were dangerous for lifeforms, to use, and mostly non living stuff was shifted using them. Couriers, who used them, did so in special teleport suits for added safety.

Jack frowned. "The design, of the place, seems on the surfact to be very adhoc but there is a purpose in its layout thought one to be fully worked out. This place... has the 'feel' of being far more than a place to meet for entertainment purposes."

Sanshaw frowned. "More stupid conspiracy stuff."

Jack nodded. "Most likely and likely more than one conspiracy group met here. This was probably a place that such people could come to carry on secretive meetings. Insane as that sounds, that sort of thing happened before Doomsday and was more common than most people would guess. Organised crime most likely ran this whole set up and would have been happy to gain profits from the foolishness of others. The really dangerous conspiracies would not have come here but their own puppet conspiracies could well have done so."

Sanshaw snorted. "But somebody came here and 'cleaned things up'."

The largely self contained 'conspiracy meeting areas' numbered 13 being one large, three medium and nine smaller ones though even the last were quite big. They were fairly luxurious and very well secured but it did not take Jack very long to discover that they were all secretly monitored by hihitech. That is it had all been a trap set up for groups to come to and to be spied upon.

The big surprise was that it had not been organised crime that had really run the whole hidden complex but the generally uknown, but powerfully dangerous, US Federal Special Purpose Agency as the USFSPA that had often been called the 'Superfed'. The Superfed had been set up to undermine the conspiracies infesting the USA and had done surprisingly well while refusing to become corrupted or subverted to those very conspiracies.

Then they found the secondary complex not only of the Superfed but partly filled with Superfed people.

23.1[32]

Dukov was a drunken, womanising, former mercenary living with two women named Cherry and Fantasia. There was also Bigmacki being a friendlier kind of supermutant and three other women being Chasity, Chesty and Chantessa. Bigmacki serves as a bouncer while the three girls are 'hostesses for hire'. Or so was the overt story. Bigmacki had been altered but not in the way that Dukov had been. Bigmacki had originally come from TechVault083 that was beneath Lamplight Mountain.

Truth was that Dukov served a TriInstute Faction, the Grey Faction, being concerned at the growing power of 'TriFather' and his obession with 'improving' humanity even with brutal strategies and tactics. They were also aware that they were either going to be absorbed into TriFather's more known four Factions (Green, Blue, Yellow and Orange) or they would have to escape to create their own 'institute' which was already being planned.

In his once expensive, high fashion, pyjamas Dukov sat with his two attractive, sexy, women partners who wore only frilly, semitransparent, nighties.

Dukov, Cherry and Fantasia were suppedly having one of their secretive, private, 'parties' of many indulgences. Dokov had gone through Grey Faction type processing, turning him into a very different kind of person than he had once been. He had survived 98% intact and needing little fixing up. It had been an agonising process but he no longer had the capacity to have emotions let alone to seek revenge.

The Grey Faction had always focused on greytech, of the infamous 'Greys', in order to achieve useful supertech through back engineering and other means such as translating crazy forms of data.

Cherry, Fantasia, Chesty, Chasity and Chantessa were all advanced, greytech type, androids sometimes called 'greydroids'. They were neither like more traditional androids or synthdroids.

Dukov sat back in his very comfortable armchair, the comfort of which meant nothing to him. "Grey Faction has already found a new location to move to, with the assistance of secret assistance. I suspect Father knows what is happening but will not intervene except to make sure that nothing of 'real value' is taken. I also suspect that he wants all greytech, and hybrid greytech, out of the TriInstitute as quickly as it can be done. Most likely he has realised that any true greytech is always tracked by the Greys themselves. As it is Father may have the whole TriInstute moved to a bigger, more advanced, base because the Greys know where the current base is and for other reasons. One other concern, to the Grey Faction, is the real nature of TriFather often known simply as 'Father'."

Cherry spoke. "Another concern is what is happening in the DCGrandMall. Fake Talon Mercenaries speaks of the mysterious 'Black Faction' that TriFather runs as part of his secret other aspect of the TriInstitute. That is along with the Red Faction and Amber Faction."

Black Faction was 'black ops' of infiltration, deception and elite special forces. Red Faction was Bladerunners hunting down escapees be they synthdroids or of other kinds. Amber Faction was more overt elite special forces in the form of the Coursers. Bladerunners were a kind of cyborg clone and Coursers were very advanced, sophisticated, synthdroids as were Black Faction units though of a different kind. There was also a 'Purple Faction' that was whispered of along with a 'Pink Faction'.

Was there yet another set of factions as known of by Father and only a very few others in the main base?

Fantasia spoke. "The Black Faction was most likely linked with that large attack on RivetCity, that is both the decoy one and the real one. We need to learn more about the one known as the 'Wanderer' that appears to be more than one."

Truth was there was so much more data that they needed to gain and one way was the use of the scantily clad, woman androids including Cherry and Fantasia. They would draw more men into the trap that was Dukov's Place, with its various entertainments including some higher tech ones. They would continue to gain data from men by varied means some of which would lead to the death, and disappearances.

Cherry smiled. "We could get in some male androids for types of customers that we do not so far serve."

Dukov nodded. "Yes, but in a separate area as the Dukov character would want it that way. We need more greydroids along with more robots than our two protectrons and one MrHandy. Also some upgraded turrets and cameras. We have other factions to be concerned with such as the BSofS, the EagleEnclaven and those damned raiders."

Raiders were once not very dangerous being but territory based gangers who had lost their territories to become troublesome nomads; matters had changed as raiders became increasingly better armoured, armed and otherwise equipped. Worse were the new Pakraiders coming in from the Atlantic Ocean and some mysterious place known as 'Brinkcity'. While the TriInstitute might have had something to do with the raiders it was doubtful that they did have any real links to the Pakraiders. Still...?

22.2[32]

Dukov died as three Coursers smashed fast into the chamber, coming not through the door but through a wall leading from an unused chamber. The elite combat Red Faction synthdroids were the last thing that had been expected to hit the location but behind them came Black Faction infiltrator synthdroids. That the two were working together meant that TriFather was directly involved in what was happening for he was always involved in operations including more than one of his multiple factions.

Cherry, and Fantasia, were shot down just seconds later. The Coursers were just too fast, agile, and accurate to allow them a fighting chance. Which was why even TriFather himself did not allow over 100 of them to be in active operation at any time. The other locals were already taken care of including the two unlucky guests being mistreated in a hidden chamber.

Five small greytech artefacts were found, all involved with 'data gathering' from captive men. These were destroyed using special equipment that the duel faction team had brought with them. TriFather knew too well, from painful personal experience known to very few, that it was too dangerous to deal with greytech for it was always, somehow, linked with the deadly Greyliens themselves.

There would appear 'new' Dukov, Cherry, Fantasia and versions of the others along with even more characters. They would be a mixture of clone cyborgs, sythdroids and others recruited carefully and then brainwashed. Dukov, and his mistresses, would be clones but there would be permanent fake guests who would be brainwashed radhumans.

The operation had gone with amazing smoothness but there had been many months of preparation before that final strike had taken place. The Coursers would remain for at least a month but discretely hidden away. The new Dukov would soon be boasting, entertaining guests and running gambling games that were surprisignly fair and never rigged. No more guests would vanish away to be tested but much information would be gained through secret monitoring tech.

Drant, Melba and Shem were three cyborgclones of the Purple Faction that ran joint faction operations and other operations dealing with extremely covert and exotic concerns. The Purple Faction had taken over Dukov's Place in order to create an outpost dealing with what was happening in DC in general but also in three DC locations in particular. One was deep beneath the DCGrandMall, another was RivetCity and below it but the third was TechVaultDC01. The last was officially in a museum in the GrandMall but was that the real one? TriFather had his doubts and was not the only one.

Melba spoke in the way a radhuman woman would, even as she was dressed as on in tough travel gear. "We must carry out a very careful examination of this whole location. It seems odd that the Grey Faction would put so much effort into it just to gain some information by carrying out dubious testing on randomly captured victims."

Drant shrugged his shoulders. "Perhaps they were not so randomly chosen."

His words were to be proven fortuous.

23.1[33]

When a cableteleport link became active between the new DCGM outpost, and Rivetcity with the discovery of a hidden cableteleport hubchamber, people began to move between the two. Outpost Freedom was DCFA even as Superfed Agents, SFAs, came out of status. The term included humans, hiandroids, dogs and even genetically engineered sentry plants. There were other androids, remoterobots and robots in other storage along with a lot of equipment-supplies.

The Superfed were soon proving positive towards joining the DCFA for practical reasons of resources, and mutual support, but also because their general aims, and philosphy, went well with those of the DCFA.

More exploring found mostly secondary areas and some so heavily secured that for the moment they could not be broached so they were marked. The official 3Dmaps had proven to be inadequate, when studied, and at times even misleading or contradictory. Those were 3Dmaps found as datafiles in databanks or in the form of holotapes.

Jack, alias MasterLaw, sensed from the start that the Superfed were some kind of 'distortion' that perhaps should not exist but if so one that went back before Doomsday making their past actual in terms of that world. That is they had become authenticated the same way that the Federacy and Confederacy had become along with their Presidents. Then again, in theory, that whole realm should not exist and it did so only as a heavily quarantined off one.

Yet Jack also knew that the Superfed were friendly and were going to be strong, necessary, allies.

Then he suddenly knew that the Superfed were all aspects of, or otherwise tightly linked with, MasterMany who was another aspect of the Wanderer. As MasterLaw he was a little embarrassed that he had not picked up this fact faster though he realised a suspicion had niggled at him at the back of his mind.

MasterMany's primary trick was to be multiple 'individuals' and to gather others to serve them. The 'Superfed' concept was an ingenious way for MasterMany to infiltrate into the DC while becoming part of it even historical wise starting over 200 years back.

While the Wanderer could manipulate time it was always tricky and so done only when very necessary or when well worth the risk. This was in some ways even truer for quasireality than it was for natural reality but in some ways quasireality was more flexible to play with than was natural reality.

MasterMany had other major tricks, than being more than one as one, and was soon assisting other Wanderer aspects in a very special way.

23.2[34]

Director Felicity Ellis, of the Smartfeds, was but the prime of the primary 13. There were three secondary 13s, also, along with nine foundational 13s and over 300 others. The first 169 were all aspects of MasterMany with the others being closely linked in various ways.

Ellis was a handsomely attractive woman in yellow civil fatigues of Predoomsday USFG civil service kind. She had light brown skin and dark brown hair but green eyes. She spoke with care. "This needs to be the major DCFA base because that is how it was really set up to be through the manipulation, including timewise, of this great quasireality realm. Even the 'dark area' has its purpose of training, testing and giving importance experience to those who go down there. The sealed off areas are to be filled with what is important, when needed, or are already primed to be used."

Jack, of the DCRegulators, was now JackOman but with him were the JennOman Triplets of JennoOman, JenniOman and JennaOman being also known as Jennoe, Jannie and Jennae. They would be his bodyguards with Sanshaw becoming more his personal assistant. Up to nine others could be summoned, materialised, into existence if needed even if only temporarily.

Jack's very history was changed and now he had always been known as JackOman along with just Jack. Even the 'Oman' part of his name had special meaning for him and his 'triplet sisters and one brother'. Sanshaw now thought that it always had been that way.

Oman came from the name of the Oman Research Development Program linked with psyker clones and the development of their psyker abilities. So it was the JackOman, and the JennOman Triplets, were but four of 100s of 'products' of the project. JackOman was seeking further information on the program, of projects, but only knew that it had all taken place in a vault like bunker complex deep beneath WashingtonDC. Could it have been linked with 'real' TechVaultDC01?

JackOman frowned softly. "Feels odd being one of four almost as one and could feel stranger if more of one are manifestated solidwise. I take it that the DCFA Leadership Council fully agrees with having the main base here."

She sighed. "They are discussing the idea and are slowly-steadily accepting it. RivetCity, including the big submarine and newer found areas, will continue to be very important, of course. You need to return to RivetCity and to find out what lies below that which lies below RivetCity but has not been discovered yet."

JackOman nodded even as it became clear that he was no longer 'MasterLaw', as an aspect of the Wanderer, but was now MasterOman. He was not sure if the change was a good one or not. "I am leaving three of my foundational aspects here, fully materialised, for now, as another set of triplets. They will be the JekkOman Triplets of JekkiOman, JekkoOman and JekkuOman also known as Jekkia, Jekkae and Jekkua."

MasterMany spoke through Felicity. "A very good idea. Perhaps you could dare to trust me more now. One made that mistake a very long time ago."

JackOman smiled. "I forgave you a very long time ago! so the three remain here purely for official reasons. I want them to carry out liaison, and other, tasks for one as MasterOman but also, of course, for the Wanderer and the DCFA."

As they parted ways, JackOman had a niggling doubt in the back of his mind about MasterMany and he knew just who to communicate with.
