AkiratheWolf
its really confusing to use now....why did u change it? now filters dont give me half of what i search for and most of the results are blocked because its filtering out authors and i cant find a way to remove that particular filter. Pickysaurus
Hi Akira, You can manage your blocking setting in the User Control Panel on the website. Hit the little gear icon up next to your profile photo. Then there is a content blocking section. Here's a direct link to make it easier: https://www.nexusmods.com/users/myaccount?tab=content+blocking In terms of search, I'd be happy to hear more detailed feedback if you're still having issues after sorting out the content blocks :) Let me know if that helps. AkiratheWolf
didnt help, the problem is is that when you run a search it auto blocks tags and authors and there is no way to remove those blocks, ill run a search and itll give me 0 results with say 1730 blocked results and theres no way to filter in the blocked results anymore, the old search design always worked for me with no issues (considering ive dl about 1000 mods for multiple games). im still trying various things but the biggest issue is the auto blocking of authors. here this is what i get whenever i run a mod search Refine results Found 0 results. 1730 have been filtered out. Currently filtering by: blocked tags and authors. there is no way to remove the block on authors, the previous search system was far more user friendly. Pickysaurus
Could you please give me a little more information. What search terms and you using, in what game? What authors/tags are you blocking? Do you have adult content filtering turned on? The search system has seen lots of improvements since the redesign and the only reason you will see that message is if you have something blocked. HadToRegister
This happened to me as well. It's because people are tagging mods all over the place with unnecessary tags, that don't match the categoriesI'd rather be able to block Categories than tags, because tags are usele4ss.Here's an example that happened to me.I wanted to block all mods that were translations because I don't need them, and I can't use them anyway. So, along with all of the other languages I blocked the "Japanese" tag.Unfortunately, that also blocked one of my favorite mod author's because his mod was tagged as "Japanese" because he's Japanese, but he releases mods for the American version of Skyrim, so when I went to search for an update for his mod, the search didn't show it, because the "Japanese" tag was blocked. So I had to remove ALL of my language blocks in case other mods that I use have been incorrectly tagged. AkiratheWolf
heres the best example, ME3, no search just all mods and 2 get blocked Found 486 results. 2 have been filtered out. Currently filtering by: blocked tags and authors. see the filters are broken, if youre not filtering period no mods should be removed, you seriously need to go back to the previous filtering system, it worked far better then this so called revamp, it atleast allowed you to show filtered mods, i personally prefered the old site design period, easy to use easy to navigate. sry if it seems like im pitching a fit, just really irritated at me3explorer, supposed to be easy to use....bulls*** and also sry for late reply, my router died and was waitin for a new one to arrive (took em a month to bring a new one). on an added note this is for me2 and it makes no sense, i have no idea how you even get a negative value Found 158 results. -3 have been filtered out. Currently filtering by: blocked tags and authors.see its seriously messed up, and i think theres more than 158 mods for me2 as well Edited July 27, 2018 by AkiratheWolf
DrakeTheDragon
Well, that -3 definitely looks odd, but there are indeed only 161 mods for Mass Effect 2 in total as of right now, so the number you got couldn't be too wrong. If you're getting this "filtered out" without having any filters set in "refine results", always check your Content Blocking settings first. These are applied as well, and most times people are missing mods other people can see in search results, that's what they missed. And especially in this case, where it leads to a "-3" as filtered out, it'll definitely be valuable for the devs to know, which blocks you have applied leading to this. Guest deleted34304850
I've had the same issue as HadtoRegister has reported.I have been impacted when I have tried to block on a language tag. The only workaround I could find was to remove those blocks I had put on language tags, so as a result, I do get the few mods I want to look at that may be tagged with a language tag, but I also open the door to quite a few more, that I don't want to see. I understand the tags are, by design, a bit of a broad brush, and granularity is a challenge, but it is something to be aware of. Hope this feedback helps you. AkiratheWolf
those were copy and pastes of the search results and i had no filters set just loading up the mod list page upon entery so theres no filters to tell you that i used, just clicked the me2 mod page button and thats it. This is the primary mistake people usually make when attempting to diagnose this problem. Just because you do not set any "filters" on the search page or whatever, does not mean there aren't any in effect. When your search results/mod lists say "Currently filtering by: blocked tags and authors", then you do have filters in effect, just not from any searches but from your Content Blocking preferences. There was, however, a related issue, at least in the past occasionally, where either people had blocked tags configured they didn't even know of, a default perhaps during introduction of the system or who knows, or their Content Blocking settings just won't change/reset, no matter what they do.But if you do get "Currently filtering by: blocked tags and authors" on mod lists, and you don't have any tags or authors blocked on this page, then the developers might sure want to know.
