Nexus Mod Manager has encountered an error and needs to close

so im fairly new to modding so this might seem like a stupid complaint but I keep getting this message randomly whenever i use the nexus mod manager.The error message says

"The process cannot access the file "C:\Users\Username\AppData\Local\Black_Tree Gaming\NexusClient.exe_..etc" because it is being used by another process"

i tried running it as administrator but it didn't work.I also tried uninstalling and installing it again but it only worked temporarily.Any idea why this keeps happening?
