Skyrim modded vs Skyrim special edition modded help needed

So basically i will have a new pc in a few days and i don t really know if i should download skyrim legendary edition or skyrim special edition because i believe that special edition is killing off the production of mods for the original game.They reason i believe that, is the thought that since special edition is propably better maybe in a while everyone will start modding S.P and stop modding Legendary edition.I could just download special edition but i dont t think it would play as smoothly as the legendary edition,but if modding for the legendary edition eventually stops then there is no point.What do you guys suggest?

Not sure why you think SSE would not play as smoothly as LE? If anything it should be the other way around. SSE has been out almost two years and both SSE and LE still have about the same number of mods released each month. There will be some mod authors moving on and others who have no interest in moving on. So really you just need to look at what mods you want to use and which version they are available in.

 

Personally I still play LE. I have all the mods I want, my game is stable and I just prefer how it looks with ENB over SSE. You'll read varying opinions so really it's just up to your personal choice. I honestly wouldn't worry about modding stopping for LE if that's your sole reason.

You're going to have a tough time downloading Skyrim Legendary edition, because Steam doesn't even carry it anymore

 

Get Skyrim SE, much more stable, is 64bit, graphics are better so you don't need an 'overhaul'
