Just wanted to say yes I'm still here. Progress has been slow on the player rooms but to be honest thats probably not a high priority for you guys. This also give me time to hone my skills and get better. Speaking of better please check out the mods on signature and see if any of them will help or if theres something you like. I also figured I'd drop a link of Lucia since she kept mentioning a while back the sandcrete stuff http://newvegas.nexusmods.com/images/55680/? Its not much but it may give you guys an idea of weather you really like it or not.

You just gave me a great idea for a mod...

On a tangent, the ultralux should have high priced courtesans/escorts. Not 20 year olds dancing in leather mini skirts, but the equivalent of high priced (1000's) call girls of our world. Discreet, cultured women that cater to discriminating and very well to do gentlemen that frequent the ultralux. They wouldn't advertise, but would be available for call by the social elite.

yeah she is sandcrete crazy, & she's also your best source for how the interiors would look. Like you my adventures in fallout started with FO3, so I have no clue. As far as whether I like it, I think it could look amazing in teh right environments and it looks good in the pic for sure.

I had one for a brothel that I thought was pretty cool. It doesn't have a story or any real lore, but I liked hte visual. I rigged up valence radii-accentuator on arms, shoulders and legs, than used the srhinkwrap modifier to make skimpy latex like clothes with a super high gloss. The visual was great. I figured the actual brothel building would be a rocket model. The name would be the Venus oasis or something using Venus. Didn't have any ideas for it besides the visuals/graphics, but I sure liked the look. I'll see if I can find the assets or a pic.

Also the sandcrete might looks good/go well, with the techno tribals from vault 22. Unless it's NCR specific/only. Another aspect that might be interesting is if many of the techno tribals had the solar powered perk (chloroplasts in their skin/body/bloodstream). Teh perk could perhaps be a reward the player receives from helping them....maybe by ingesting or injecting some of their botanical magic.


FalloutNVDefault has given us permission to use Ritas Cafe and I think it will be a great addition when businesses spring up during the prosperous times of the mod, after things have settled down in NV and entrepreneurship is thriving.

I was thinking for the Vertibirds in McCarren you could move some of the planes, place 2-3 Vertibirds with some engineers, pilots, maybe some sort of fuels tanks and hoses hooked up to the Vertibirds and a few crates for ammo. In the tower where you find Cpt. Curtis during the quest I Put A Spell On You, you could put a couple of NPCs as air traffic controllers.

Sounds like a plan to me. And McCarren makes a lot of sense as a base of operations. Being a large airport they have the infrastructure to support the veritbirds.

If possible and not too much work, I thought it would be a nice touch to have a short conversation between a Vertibird pilot and an Air Traffic Controller in the tower when the player first enters the tower. The conversation could go something like
Pilot- "Victor 3 Charlie coming in for landing"
Controller - "Rodger that Victor 3 Charlie, landing pad 3 is open for you"
Pilot - "Rodger that"

 

Once the player leaves the Vertibird will be seen landing on the pad and the pilot and co-pilot will exit the craft and walk around.

Pretty much exactly as you described: High-end escorts for the Ultra-Luxe :) You'll find them hanging out in front of the bar, you chat with them, etc, etc.
