Pimpy Ho female dog Slapper. Not his character's actual name, but the same type of person. He's infested that game now.
ThetaOrionis01
Maybe we should start a roleplay thread about Pimpy Ho female dog Slapper & Co.... " New_player arrived at the census office in Seyda Neen. Socucius Ergalla was in a bad mood. 'Not another one,' he groaned. 'Don't know what the emperor is thinking of, unloading his prisoners here. No, I haven't got a package for you...I had a note from Caius Cosades saying that his landlord evicted him - the neighbours were complaining about the crowd camped out outside his house. Oh, and don't bother looking for anything to steal...there's nothing left.' New_player left the Census Office, unsure of what to do next. He needn't have worried. Before he know what had hit him he was on the ground breathing his last. 'I 0wnz j00, n00b!' yelled Pimpy Ho female dog Slapper and proceeded to steal New_player's pitiful belongings...." Racius
Gawd... think of how the Guild/House system would work... In the red book of bla bla.., "Counciler Pimpy female dog Ho Slapper, no fixed residence... And on storyline terms, it wouldn't be possible for example: Finally, the nerevarine no. 19576, after his 36 hour trek to Red Mountain for his final heroic showdown walks into Dagoth Ur's chambers to find a dead Dagoth Ur and Azuras avatar stringed up by her marvels, scrawled on the wall or some scroll would be "Dagoth n00bus is now my biatch!!!"... Plus Morrowind would end up uninhabited thru all the kids killing the NPC's, and newbies would have great difficuly making money, considering all the tombs/caves/ruins would have been looted at least 5 times a day... Basically, the technicalities of an MMOG of a TES game are mind boggling... unless they stunted everyones freedom, which, to me, the freedom that Morrowin offers compared to various other RPG's is the best part... DreamOfTheRood
This being my first post, I don't want to sound too negative. However, this is the worst idea ever. This is worse than a total conversion mod making all the Dunmer into Bozo the Clown lookalikes. Don't get any ideas on that one, either. Let's think about this logically.1. With the amount of crashes the average user has due to the unstable nature of the game engine, getting through a game of reasonable length would be, at best, a complete bloody miracle. With lots of computers crashing on a server, the server itself would inevitably become corrupted, slowing games down to nightmarish speeds.2. As has been said, the genuine nature of the game world would become ancillary, and small-minded people would take over. It happened to Diablo II in about a day, and I now refuse to play that game online. In fact, the reason that I bought Morrowind was because it had NO multiplayer capabilities. 3. Again, this is a server-based reason. In order for two players to join on a server, they would have to be playing with the exact same mods used. The logistics on that are enough to make me pee my pants.
HeLLL
You know what DreamOfTheRood, your right :) Imagine you and your party are about to slay <insert monster here> and all of a sudden Morrowind CTD. That would suck. As well as ruin the whole multiplayer expersiance.Just curious though, what do you mean by The logistics on that are enough to make me pee my pants. ciddy
I think the reason why Bethesda has said no for was the amount of programming it would take to implement this. Just think if an NPC in Khuul has a despostion towards you of 60 and and someone else (PC) that was playing in the multiplayer enviroment had a despostion of 10 towards the NPC in question. Now think of how many NPC's there are. Let say 100. Since there is 2 PCs playing and 100 NPCs that could each have a desposition from 0-100 there is 20,000 (approx) possible varibles that would automatically impact on how the game was played between the two PCs. Where would that information be stored (cached). You would need one heck of a grunty server to pull off some of those althograms and the trying to program how each NPC interacts with each PC in real time (so it can correctly correspond with the other PC orcordinly) would be a challenge in itself :D Though I must say Darmoth the idea of a PvP type multiplayer would be an interesting idea. Maybe if it was more of a duel and not a full world exploration (re above for some complications.) It could possibly work. yeah, the lazy buggers :P
