samv96UK Posted August 15, 2012 Author Share Posted August 15, 2012 Fifteenth Update: The mod is really beginning to come to life now. I've begun collecting lines for NPC's from fantastic VA's and will put some in-game. I've also created a little archery shooting range for the bow fans out there- the aim of the game is to buy competition arrows, shoot them at targets and gain chips, which can then be exchanged for gold. I may upload some gameplay later on, showing how the shooting range works, but for now I've got some screenshots of it to show off anyway. I've finished all of the main regions to a good level, so there's only a little bit of detail left more me to add there. I've also completed most of the interiors- I've got three more to complete then just two more to make after that. I've completely planned all of the dialogue for the main questline and many of the NPC's and Side quests too, so that means I'll be on a conquest to voice all of them. I'll start another separate thread for that sometime in the next week or two. How big is the city going to be compared to other cities? I've been wanting to make a mod like this since Skyrim was released. Unfortunately I know very little about modding. It looks like you make quite a few of your ow meshes for the city. I've been trying to learn how to do this but I can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I don't know if the problem is in nifskope or the CK but my models won't show the textures I add to them. I just asked for a video tutorial on what to do in nifskope and how to import to the CK in the pinned tutorial thread and I'd really appreciate it if you could find the time to help me out. Yes, I've been working flat out on the mod for longer than I care to remember! :thumbsup: As for the size of the city, there are three different districts, The mainstreet, the Residential district and the Countryside district, along with other areas such as the Royal gardens, the Market hall and the Graveyard. The regions are divided (They have loading screens) but If you count them altogether the city is pretty huge. It looks like you make quite a few of your ow meshes for the city. Actually, I'm not particularly good at making new meshes. Most of the things you see in the city are just re-textures of vanilla objects in nifscope. This mod is gonna be awesome! Thanks! Honestly though, I will get round to making a new video/trailer/featurette or something (eventually). On that note, I do have a story related image this update.
