Arin111
You don't get off the hook that easy! The first screenshot shows the install path for Fallout 4 is:c:/Program Files(X86)/Decepticon/Fallout 4.I suspect that is not the actual location of the game directory. Check where it wound up after re-installing Vortex. If Vortex is really picking the wrong location, you might have needed to enter the path manually. In any case - I am glad you got it working. You're right, I didn't/ The plugins started to show up but still aren't working, I am going to try and set it steamapps\common. Hopefully that fixes the other "half" of the problem.
Arin111
Does this seem correct, https://gyazo.com/18e542beeec3810191df555e54e62bad
rmm200
Well I will never like games installed on the C drive - but if that is your only drive, you don't have a lot of choice. The path looks fine to me - and a heck of a lot better than the first one. Dark0ne
To not confuse Arin, games on your C drive are absolutely fine if you have a harddrive big enough for it all. There's nothing wrong with games being on your C drive and anything else is merely personal preference and nothing to do with "right or wrong". I'm going to see if that works and lets me use my mods.
genesis1701d
For posterity, here's my experience with the same problems: I had lots of problems with mods not actually loading, turned out they were not deployed. The Vortex settings were set to hardlink and automatic deployment when enabled, but for some reason didn't work. I had to reset the hardlink deployment and then got a pop-up that said 'mods require deployment,' after clicking that the mods deployed and worked.
