Managed Games gone missing

You must have something setup wrong on your system, because this problem seems exclusive to you.

 

Try reinstalling Vortex and starting from scratch with a game free of mods, once you get the hang of it and see the benefits of Vortex, you'll get more confident in using it.

... bulls***, today i found the same problem on my vortex. Yesterday everything was fine. Today i open it and my dashboard is empty, no recently managed games. And i did no changes, absolutely no changes.

But under games, managed, i can see SSE with all its mods. And i can open it with SKSE outside of vortex. But inside my vortex no skse, no SSEEdit, nothing. :sad:

The EXACT same thing just happened to me to.. I spent 2 days downloading mods and finally getting them to work last night...

This morning I opened Vortex and the whole game was gone from the list.

Easy fix: Just re-Scan Games from within the Vortex, and it will show up again, with all the mods installed.

SOLVED:

Managed games gone missing is caused by changing the setting 'Multi-User mode' If you have a game set up with mods and you change from per-user to shared, It does NOT share your game setup and all are lost until you return to per-user.

Not to necro an old post, but I was messing around with my vortex manager Ive had it installed for as long as it came out from NMM to vortex. I changed the multi profile to shared since I was tired of the messages and behold everything disappeared. The directory folder showed the mods were there still though. After searching on this topic and not really finding it I did find the solved part of this thread that got a bit off topic and was able to fix my issue. So thanks.
