UnbornCorpser
I read all of the page for importing mods from MO or NMM. Trying to import mods from the F4 section but everytime I try it gives the message "The selected folder contains an empty VirtualModConfig.xml file". I'm either really daft at this point or something weird is just going on. Anyone know how to fix this so I can get to importing the files?
UnbornCorpser
No one has any idea what's causing it?
HadToRegister
YOu need to find the folder that has the non-empty VirtualModConfig.xml fileI ran into this when importing my Skyrim SE mods because I didn't have the mods in the default MODS folder for NMM, I had them moved to \Mods\Bash Installers\Mods\
UnbornCorpser
I know where it is. It's within the Nexus folder at this location: C > Games > Nexus Mod Manager. I have all the bethesda games there. The empty .xml file is within the F4 folder's mod > virtual install section.

Well, if you've installed mods with NMM, then your xml file shouldn't be empty.Have you opened it with notepad or notepad++ to see if there's actually anything in it? HadToRegister
That's really weird, the path is correct and everything, and there's no reason for your xml file to be empty.Did you have NMM open when you were trying to import your mods into Vortex? UnbornCorpser
I did try it with it open and with it closed. Same issue both times. It's happening for pretty much every game. Ugh! At this point I just made a list of the mods I have downloaded and will go and manually download them all with Vortex from the site. No idea what was going on but this seems like the better alternative in the long run.
