PolillaBenG
I can't seem to get FNIS to work properly due to the program not being able to open a specific file every time I update my mods on Vortex. Since FNIS can be accessed through Vortex, it only gives this error when FNIS is automatically opened on Vortex, but will operate normally when FNIS is run from its file location. I'm not sure if this will cause issues with it running in-game or if I can disable it being automatically run on Vortex so that FNIS will run correctly if I do it manually. I am certain this is not a mod issue, since this only surfaced after switching from NMM to Vortex. To me, this seems like a directory issue. What can I do? BigBizkit
Does this persist if you restart Vortex, and/or restart your PC?
missnasty
This crazy error happened to me too. A few days ago I uninstalled a FNIS mod and Vortex did the FNIS update automatically, and then I installed a new FNIS mod and when Vortex did the automatic thing FNIS showed that error. Today I needed to do a similar thing with two mods, and the same thing happened. In the future I'll try to remember to restart Vortex between installing FNIS mods. For now my Skyrim is playing nice so I don't wanna change anything yet.
mouton18
-your default patches are not ticked-If using vortex, enable the "RUN FNIS on deployment event from the setting tab"-make sure the new FNIS data from the mod list rules after FNIS itself
rmm200
I have to admit - I always run FNIS manually due to this error.Beside which - I like to know which options are being used. That - and I only run it when a mod that needs it changes.Works for me. More automation is not necessarily better.
HadToRegister
I don't use the Run FINS on every deployment, I just run it once, manually, and I never have to worry about it again.I'm not sure why the option to run it automatically after every deployment exists.
