Nothing is happening

The fact that Vortex opens means that it is correctly associated with the links.

Is it possible you're running Vortex as admin but not your browser? (or vice versa?) If you close Vortex and click on a download button, is the Vortex that opens in any way different? E.g. is it not logged in then?

Could you attempt a download and immediately afterwards send in your log file? (top right ... menu -> feedback -> attach special file)

I have done what you asked, and tried reinstalling Vortex for good measure. Still no response within Vortex.

Edit: I think the reason for the ineffective reinstall is that I only when into My Computer and uninstalled it there before downloading it again.

2nd Edit: I have verified that neither Firefox, nor Vortex were or are being run in administrator mode.

Does this happen with EVERY mod you try to download?

Also, when you press "Download with Mod Manager" on the mod webpage, does a box pop up with yet ANOTHER "Download" button that also notifies you of supporting the author, or other required mods? And do you press that button or just wait?

For me it seems, when that box pops up, that some mods won't download until I hit that extra download button, while others will automatically start downloading without hitting the button

Other times, I've had a mod download twice, because the Popup with DOWNLOAD popped up, I hit Download, AND Vortex automatically started downloading.

Yes it happens on every mod. No, clicking the second download button doesn't change anything.

I had issues similar to this while using Chrome even after using the “click here to fix Chrome issues also Chrome has to be closed” button.

I’m not a big Edge user, but I use that for Nexus and Vortex interactions and it seems to have resolved the issue. Might be worth a try...
