Fafhred
Hi, I have an old account here, going back to a previous incarnation of this site.I am using Firfox for its privacy and security feature, will NEVER go back to any MS folder, not will ever accept to use Chrome (Google's browser is DESIGNED against privacy, proven fact dating back to its release) nor any browser based on Chromium. The most recent update of Firefox enforces privacy features strictly. I have tried logging in for the whole of the past week, getting sick and tired of the Capcha feature looping forever (the real reason being that it is a GOOGLE feature, forever trying to stealthily leave its mark on computers, and the browser correctly blocking those attempts; I am NOT talking about strictly functional cookies, which would be accepted.). I eventually managed to get in after hours trying, and literally hundreds of Catcha filled for 1 password retrieval + 1 login. A support email for the email address nominally intended for users with login issues, got neither acknowledgment, nor answer. I see that other users have also experienced similar issues.Clearly the whole Capcha feature is no longer functional, and I know other sites which have remove or replaced it for months. So, the question: is this site dead, or is there still someone updating/supporting it?If there is, why are you not fixing this major issue, nor answering support emails? xvdoc
So, the question: is this site deadIf there is, why are you not fixing this major issue, nor answering support emails?Nope, this site is still alive with over 900 active users (atm). There is one user just actively post comments like 12 times!!! Amazing, right?. , IA support email for the email address nominally intended for users with login issues, got neither acknowledgment, nor answer. Just wait a little bit longer. I heard from somebody who forgot their Nexus password that they had to wait like 1-2 hours just to get the password reset link email. Dark0ne
FYI we do not have any email from the email address attached to your username here. So if you did send one, we didn't receive it, or you sent it from a different email address that I cannot check. As for issues with CAPTCHA, if your privacy settings are some how affecting it then that's an issue you'll need to handle on your end. Simply allowing the Nexus Mods login cookie to remain after each session would go a long way to resolving this issue. If you won't allow it, then I cannot help you. The Capcha is a known issue, a number of sites have already ditched it in the past months, and it will happen a LOT more, to a lot of people, now that Firefox privacy features have been strengthened. If some people do not care about their privacy, that is their problem, my choice is that I do not want to give away any information to nosy companies, if I can prevent it... Dark0ne
Hi there, We did not receive that email at all. We have had nothing but issues with your email provider for more than 10 years now (lots of users using your ISP don't receive the validation email for new registrations, for example). Odd that it's now working the other way as well -- not receiving email from your ISP. We have received emails from others using your provider, but we often get reports of "lost" emails from them. We send out registration emails using a different ISP than the support email. Both are major providers, so it's odd that two major providers have issues dealing with email from and/or to your provider.
Fafhred
I remember that they changed owner about a year or 2 ago, but from my point of view they are still the best email provider (NOT ISP) I had for about 25 years. One of my old ones started well, but 2 years later 50% of incoming emails never reached my inbox... including 2 test emails I sent to myself. So I guess that it will be time starting to look for a new one (will NEVER again be one of the major ones, too many issues found when I was still using them).
