warranty44
After MO2 just refused to run SKSE I decided to try Vortex. It found all tools, except Loot (which was in its own directory), and ran SKSE straight off. Brilliant!, I thought. Only to discover that some of my mods were not loading in Skyrim. The first nagging doubt was in Loot where some mods had the green tick, yet others did not. On the game world loading it was quite obvious that Verdant grass plugin had done nothing, nor for that matter had Skyrim Flora Overhaul. A further 10m playthrough later showed several other mods were clearly not loading. Loot also had two warnings for me. In JK's Cities plugin it said two patches were missing, yet both plugins were showing as enabled in my mods list on Vortex. Also, almost as an aside, 90% of my mods were installed from file as I'd already had them stored on my HDD from my MO2 efforts. The few additional flles I downloaded via Nexus/Vortex - well once installed seem to disappear - they don't appear in my mod list? Hopefully I'm just missing something with an unfamiliar program. I did search knowledge base and forum for an answer before posting. As I'm working 80hrs a week atm it may take me a couple of days to get back to this thread so thanks in advance for any attention and responses. Pickysaurus
It sounds like you didn't actually reinstall/import your mods with Vortex? Make sure the mods are enabled in both the mods and plugins tab. LOOT is also not required as it's built into Vortex. Here are a few help articles that may help. You can also access these inside Vortex via the Knowledge Base tab. https://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Migrating_to_Vortex_from_another_Mod_Managerhttps://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Frequently_Asked_Questions#Do_I_need_LOOT.2FI_want_to_use_LOOT_for_sorting.2FIs_there_a_difference_between_LOOT_sorting_and_Vortex_sorting.3Fhttps://wiki.nexusmods.com/index.php/Managing_your_Load_Order
warranty44
All mods were brought into vortex via the "Install from File" icon within the Mods tab. I don't appear to have a plugins tab, but everything in the mods list has an enabled flag. I can do screenshots at the weekend if necessary. Grestorn
Check the Extensions tab, if there are any ectensions which are not enabled. Sounds like there might be some of them disabled for some reason.

There it is.I had created my own problem, I was disabling the game extensions I didn't own and went too far, disabling a few things I clearly needed. Thank you very much.
