Transparent Plants?

Lately I've been having an issue where plants turn transparent after I harvest them. It's a little hard to explain, and I'm not sure what could be causing it.

It's really annoying because I can't tell what I have and haven't harvested yet, and just the fact that when I pick a flower there's still a flower there is bad enough. -.-

Are you using Skyrim Flora Overhaul by Vurt? I notice the same thing, and I am using that mod. I assumed that it was a intentional change. However, I did not check. After reading your post, I went back and looked though the changelog, etc. and do not see any mention of removing the "picked" animation. Now I am wondering if it is an issue caused by the update not recognizing vurt's files, or perhaps another mod....

 

It didn't really bother me, cuz I like flowers, but it might be worth dropping a line to Vurt...if you also are using that mod....

Skyrim Flora Overhaul is not the problem as I have been using it for months flawlessly. Backup your skyrim.ini and skyrimprefs.ini and then move a default version of both of them in to My Games > Skyrim, and then try harvesting again, if this fixes the issue let me know.

Not sure if this is thread necromancy, but I've got this EXACT same issue for the first time since I installed the game when it first released. I have absolutely no clue on how to fix it, I've attempted regenerating my SkyrimPrefs.ini, tweaking a few settings within the .ini, and so many other things including multiple google searches to no avail.

 

This issue started directly after verifying integrity of game cache with steam. 10 files were apparently missing, so steam proceeded to download said missing files. It was a 136MB in total, and after it finished I ran my Skyrim launcher, that generated a new .ini, I edited it back to my specifications (all the same edits I had on my other .ini which I had no issues with), then launched the game. Everything seemed back to normal, no crashing, nothing; until I picked Tundra Cotton. I noticed the exact same thing EpicRandomGuy did.

 

The strange thing is that this issue is not effecting ALL ingredients. For example, I discovered this whole issue while in Rorikstead, so I decided to test out some other ingredients. I walked over to the town garden and picked some potato, leek, and wheat. None of those animations have an issue. It seems to be the mountain flowers (blue and red), thistle, lavender, Tundra Cotton, and more that I probably haven't gotten to test.

 

I hope this provides a bit more information on this strange bug, and I will uninstall the game if it comes to that. But I want to explore all available options before doing that.

the problem is Transparency MSAA being On.

Just turn it off
