KingWingx
Do i have to wait for vortex to deploy every time i disable/enable something? It seems to take forever to deploy and I'm testing mods out, so in between disabling/enabling mods i have to wait like 5-10 minutes for my mods to redeploy do i have to? AugustaCalidia
If you're waiting 5-10 minutes for deployment to complete, then something is wrong. In my Vortex installation, deployment is completed in seconds, and I have a lot of mods. Keep checking this thread for help. My Vortex expertise is very limited. Fortunately, however, there are a lot of knowledgeable people involved in this forum who can provide the kind of help you need.
KingWingx
It happened when i installed ASO - artistic skyrim overhaul. Everytime it redeploys it is saying it has to redeploy like 34000 files
rmm200
If it were me - I would disable ASO while testing.Only when you are done testing - and ready to play long term - enable ASO and live with the deploy delay. That sucker is a gigabyte mod with a huge number of file names - it will be slow no matter what you do. KingWingx
Ok thanks for the reply man. Guess I'll just deal with it because I'm testing mods that are compatable with it x.x
rmm200
For your specific purposes - and against most rules - I would install ASO manually, before installing any mods with Vortex. Don't even tell Vortex about ASO.For coexistence testing, that should work fine. Just be aware that Vortex can't identify any conflicts in textures like this, so it is up to you to judgeif you are getting the results you expect. Deploys will be fast... Grestorn
I guess, it would be a better idea to create a bsa version of ASO. It's really not a good idea to have a mod with this amount of lose files, that's what .bsa files are for. I wouldn't install it manually, because it would be a lot of work to uninstall it again. Tannin42
Odd, are you "purging" or changing profiles a lot? Vortex usually only applies the changes necessary when you deploy so even if ASO has 20000 files or something, as long as you enable/disable other mods and not enable/disable ASO (and don't purge) its files shouldn't have to be deployed again. rmm200
Sometimes, Deploy seems to work in over-achiever mode. I have enabled one (small) mod and Vortex has deployed 20,000-30,000 files. Not often - but I notice it when it occurs. I am a frequent Profile changer though...
