NMM import error

Just discovered this today and wanted to give it a shot. But when I try to import from NMM it gives an ENOENT file location not found error. It's a location in the NMM O4 folders but it am missing the entire "categories" folder as well as "Categories.xml". How can I fix it so I can import, like is there a place I can download the specific files? Or is there a way to "repair" NMM? Any help with what the problem is would be greatly appreciated.

Also there is no way to leave the import tool, the main application window is blurred out, and you cant even press the 'x' to quit the application. I feel like changing that would be a good change to add in later versions.

To help me understand the issue could you please confirm if you have any categories set up in NMM?

And is your NMM installation an old version or updated from an old version?

Could you also try using one of these options and see if that allows you to import properly?

I do have categories set up, so I'm not sure why the folder/file are missing.

And I believe it is a beta version of NMM (0.65.5), and it won't auto update on its own. Would reverting to a stable build change it? And how would I go about doing that without messing up all my files?

I tried removing all categories to see if that would fix it and when I reverted to nexus defaults and it brought them back to how they were before, but still no folder or file. I don't think it updated the categories from Nexus, probably just from local files?

I went through other directories and found old NMM locations from before I guess but none of them had a categories folder or .xml

Hope this helps and we can get it working. Let me know if I can provide you anything else.

You aren't actually missing the folder. I think it's actually within the "mods" folder, or at least it was for me. I think Vortex is just looking for it in the main directory, instead of allowing it to be in the sub-folders. Once I moved the "categories" folder from "mods" to the main "fallout 4" folder, it worked fine.
