hilerm2
Greetings all. I'm still kind of new to all this, yet I have a significant problem. Vortex, even after selecting the file (on C:Steam/SteamApps/Common/SkyrimSE) to scan specifically, and even after making sure the SkyrimSE.exe was there, with administrator selected, and was working, Vortex will NOT recognize that it is there. I uninstalled Vortex twice in the hopes that that will fix the issue, but of course it doesn't. All the "help" would say was that you can manually select the file path under Games and Supported. But Skyrim SE AND Fallout 4 are not even an option! Is Vortex no longer supporting those games? It has the old Skyrim on there, and even Skyrim VR (and Fallout 3 and even Fallout 4 VR), but every time I try with regular old Skyrim Vortex tells me that it cannot find the TESV.exe (instead on SkyrimeSE.exe). I cannot stress enough that I have tried everything. There is no option to put this game (or Fallout 4) on Vortex. It simply disappeared. Nothing is working. Uninstalled, logged out, logged back in, try again and nope. Am I being retarded or missing something, or did Vortex break?
rmm200
On your Games page, there are three tabs: Managed, Discovered, and Supported. Each tab has a count on it. What does Managed say count is?Note: Discovered count only includes those games discovered but not Supported or Managed.Supported only includes those games discovered but not managed that Vortex supports.None of the three tabs show all games on your system. Perhaps more basic - open Settings. Go to Games tab.Make sure your games search path is correct. Sounds like in your case that would be C:. hilerm2
Managed is 2 (Morrowind and Oblivion), Discovered is 0, and 38 games on Supported (NOT, I may add, Skyrim SE or Fallout 4). Perhaps I should have been a little bit more clear above, because my games search path is about as specific as it can get (C:Steam/SteamApps/Common/Skyrim SE), and trust me, it cannot get any more specific than that. I have several search roots set up in the settings, but it will not work.

hilerm2
That's what I have. Ok, in order to limit the amount of questions here's my set up:Vortex is installed (C:Program Files (X86))Games (the two that I am talking about) are (C:Steam)All of my settings are thus:Managed (2), Discovered (0), Supported (38) with nothing for Skyrim SE or Fallout 4My Games search path are:C: - C:Steam - C:Steam/Steamapps/Common/SkyrimSE - D: - and E:May I also add that NMM worked flawless, then Vortex also worked with no issues. It wasn't until today that I had an issue. I opened up Vortex to look at my plugins and load order, and suddenly, out of the blue, the game no longer even exist and Vortex can no longer find it. I played the game just a couple of days ago, even opened Vortex and used it. It just simply no longer works. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Vortex three times now. I am doing everything right, but somehow, from yesterday to today, it doesn't work anymore. I say I do everything right, but it is more than likely just a simple "duh" thing that I either changed or turned off by accident or something. obsidiandragonwing
It did it to me as well, lost Monster Hunter World for me. Now it's only showing 16 supported games, most of which I don't even own Edited November 14, 2018 by obsidiandragonwing
HadToRegister
It did it to me as well, lost Monster Hunter World for me. Now it's only showing 16 supported games, most of which I don't even own "Supported games" is just that, it's the games that Vortex supports, it has nothing to do with whether you own them or not. HadToRegister
So, you've done this, and Vortex just won't find your games? Are you the admin on your machine?
HadToRegister
Try this, just in case you "hid" the games from your Dashboard by accident/mistakeCheck to see if this switch is on.If it is, turn it off , then back on, if it's off, turn it on. hilerm2
Interesting ideas, but all of those have been done already.
