RMan5000
When I open Vortex, I get a message box saying that an unrecoverable error has occurred. When I ignore it, it gives me this message: Error: yaml-cpp: error at line 1, column 3: unknown escape character: at l.handleResponse (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar.unpacked\bundledPlugins\gamebryo-plugin-management\webpack:\gamebryo-plugin-management\node_modules\loot\index.js:134:1) at ChildProcess.handleResponse (C:\Program Files\Black Tree Gaming Ltd\Vortex\resources\app.asar.unpacked\bundledPlugins\gamebryo-plugin-management\webpack:\gamebryo-plugin-management\node_modules\loot\index.js:66:1) at emitTwo (events.js:126:13) at ChildProcess.emit (events.js:214:7) at emit (internal/child_process.js:772:12) at _combinedTickCallback (internal/process/next_tick.js:141:11) at process._tickCallback (internal/process/next_tick.js:180:9)Not sure how to fix this, as I don't have LOOT and people usually say this is the main source of the problem. Any help is appreciated. Thanks in advance.
HadToRegister
Make a backup copy of masterlist.yaml, then delete the existing copy and try running Vortex again LOOT is built into Vortex
RMan5000
Make a backup copy of masterlist.yaml, then delete the existing copy and try running Vortex again LOOT is built into VortexThat didn't seem to work... I copy-pasted masterlist.yaml in the same folder and deleted the original and it didn't do anything. Unless I'm doing something wrong?

When you copy pasted the masterlist.yaml did you end up with materlist (copy).yaml or did you just overwrite it? Vortex needs to 'get' a new version of the masterlist.Just move the masterlist.yaml out of the directory so there's no masterlist.yaml in the folder and try again
