mcbarker
Would help if you identify the mod.Few megabytes, not many files?GBs iin size, thousands of textures? As I said... it happens with all mods. Large ones; small ones; a mixture of graphics, NPCs, some like Immersive Citizens AI, or Cutting Room Floor, etc. There are approximately 150 of them. rmm200
Still some confusion here.If you "Install" a single small mod, not "Enable" or "Deploy", that part also takes 10-15 minutes?I still think you have some mod that replaces most of the textures in the game.If your Deploy step shows deploying 20,000 files or more - that will be slow. Install for a small mod takes only a couple of seconds. It literally just unzips the archive into a mod folder, and maybe runs a FOMOD installer.Enable with an automatic deploy, and Deploy take longer. Every file in every mod has to be checked against every other mod for conflicts.
mcbarker
whats the response of that disk like for access to files outside of vortex?can you run a diagnostic on the device to see its health, and could you download, install and run crystaldisk to see what that tells you about the response time of the device?Response time seems normal... green (healthy) across the board on both drives C: and X: Unfortunately, this forum doesn't seem to allow pasting from a text file (editing options grayed out), so I can't show the results. You can paste text here.Just use the usual CTRL+C CTRL+VYou can also also type in tags like

(spaces added so you can see the tags) Are you using a 5400 rpm drive? Tried CTRL+V to paste, but it didn't work. All drives in my system are SSDs (4 of them). I stopped using mechanical HDs years ago.
