Eleusiv
Since it's impossible for you to play through as the same character; how about playing New California as one of your parents with a connecting mission of escorting your pregnant wife with the BOS or being escorted to the Thomas Jefferson memorial and maybe your new character could keep some perks or traits like passing on gene's in real life. It would certainly make a more coherent story.
RoyBatterian
New California doesn't exist in TTW's timeline.
Eleusiv
I know that and you know that, but it hasn't stopped people from playing the two together. This was more of a suggestion. It's not something I would use.
dubiousintent
Theoretically the "time delay" can be worked around within the existing game logic. Just have the player from TTW get (tricked?) into a "locked/damaged" Auto Doc (a la "Christine Royce" in "Dead Money") in an added cut-scene in the end of TTW, and released from it having the player take up life as "Courier 6" and lead straight into the vanilla FNV "Doc Mitchell's" clinic start. And that is just the most obvious route. "Descendant of" is another. -Dubious-
SignedName
Pretty sure New California takes place before Fallout 3. So you'd either have to be playing as Dad (which would be hilarious) or Mom. Actually, if you do play as Dad/Mom, the timelines actually fit together pretty well without the TTW timeskip.

However, the PC is nineteen years old at the start of the main game, meaning the PC was born in 2258 in Vault 101, two years before the start of New California. This would make it a little hard to play as Dad/Mom.
Mktavish
Just need a time machine mod with the UFO ... The aliens can shift time . And then weave time shifts into the lore ... But need a content mod seeing time shifts happen (playable) How to show content before the fallout world ... ? just needs some new textures ;)

Fkemman11
I'll just wait for The Frontier release and hope it can be merged with TTW. I'll play NC some other time since I freakin love my TTW. Guess I'm just a fan of max compatibility for the ultimate game-play experience.
