evilhippo
I am using Vortex to manage Fallout 4 & I need to move Beantown Interiors optimisation patch to load last after *everything* to see if that will fix an issue. There is presumably a simple way to do that?
sopmac45
Question : did Vortex triggered a red bolt on Beantown mod ? If there is a red bolt, that means there is a conflict between Beantown and other(s) mods. Click on Beantown red bolt and choose to load after each mod that is listed in that window. Second : if this is a patch, you should have downloaded / installed it after downloading its master file. Did yo do that ? Third ( in relation to the first question ) : Why do you want to move Beantown to load after everything else ? Pay attention to this : if you installed it after installing its master file and if there is not a RED BOLT on it, you do not have to do anything at all but trust Vortex. Why do you want to go against Vortex logic to manage mods and plugins ? Now, if there is an issue and you think that by moving this patch will resolve it, then, go to the PLUGINS section, double click on it, a right pane will open beside that plugin, drop down the arrow in Group and choose Dynamic Patching Group and close the pane by clicking on the > sign at the bottom of the pane. Click on Sort and your patch will be placed on the last group of your load order. HOWEVER, this action will move your patch to the last group but not necessarily to the last place in your plugins load order. If you want your patch to be last in your plugins load order, then : - Enable Auto-Sort- Click on the Sort tab to sort your plugins. Find out which plugin is your last on your load order.- Now drag your plugin by doing this : right click on the plugin that you want to move and click on EDIT .. you will see that a Square box will show up on all the plugins; go down the list and find the last plugin and SELECT it ( check mark ) and hit the Sort key. Now your patch will be placed after the last plugin in your list. Now a warning : I taught you how to do it but I do not recommend you to do it. Trust Vortex. Again, moving a plugin to a different group is not always the best thing to do. Moving a plugin to the last place in your plugins load order is not the best thing to do either. You need to trust Vortex. By enabling Auto-Sort, you are practically adding LOOT to Vortex and Vortex will sort your plugins as they should and you should trust it by heart. Again, if you want to move it, do it at your own risk and do not blame Vortex for any negative consequence.
evilhippo
There is no red bolt but one area of the map in-game is broken with this mod installed & unbroken without... & the people who made the mod suggested lowering the load order to try & fix it. So it is not a matter of trusting Vortex, the situation simply doesn't work using default rules so I have to try something. So cheers for explaining how to do it
sopmac45
The mod Beantown Interiors has been set to hidden by his/her mod author. Simply, do not use it.

evilhippo
if you want to move this mod to the bottom - you can add its plugin to a group in vortex.most plugins are, by default in the group default. when the plugins are sorted by vortex (using LOOT) they are sorted within their group. If you want to ensure that beantown interiors is loaded last, or at least, pretty much near the bottom, you can assign it to the group dynamic patches, which will move it out of the default group.when you want to put it back, simply re-assign it to the default group, sort your plugin order and you're done. Many thanks! Using this method to set the Optimisation Patch to load in that group absolutely fixed my problem.
