RyanhMODs
Started using it for Dark Souls 1. It failed to detect the game, so I had to set it manually. Then, after I figured out how to navigate the awful thing, I downloaded, installed, and enabled all the mods I wanted to use. I load up the game. Nothing. Not a single one of the mods is active in-game. I had to do everything manually. The f*#@ is the point of a mod manager that forces you to manually install? Why has this replaced NMM? somerandomsheepthathops
Did you deploy your mods once you activated them? Won't show up in-game without deploying them first.

RyanhMODs
Seems to me like Vortex isn't placing the files where they should be. It's placing them in the dsfix folder, outside the tex_override folder. They ought to be inside it.
RyanhMODs
Apparently Vortex created a dsfix folder inside the dsfix folder, with a second tex_override folder, where some of the mods are stored. Copies are being put in the main dsfix folder. No clue why.

So why are you asking for help if it's so bad? Just mod Dark Souls without Vortex and use NMM Click on INSTALL Vortex, scroll down the page and press the button on the right, and enjoy NMM.See Ya! Guest deleted34304850
i'm calling you out for the abuse of the word "literal". L2grammar.
somerandomsheepthathops
That's... frustrating. Hrmmm, I'm not familiar with modding Dark Souls, but if it's doing that, you may need to see about changing where Vortex dumps the mods. I'm pretty sure that option is available in Vortex, I just cannot access it right now due to being on a different device.
blackstarraven
Vortex needs to be killed to be honest. It's garbage in every sense of the word.Unable to use file's across drives.Meaning if you install games on a drive that's not your standard location for "My Documents" It literally does not work. Clunky and counter intuitive. It's not misuse of the word "Literal"This program is Literally Garbage. As in belongs in a Garbage can.

Edited to add: None of my games are installed on the same drive as Documents. Works fine.
