So i was find some mods on the Nexus Mod website.

Found some mods that i wanted and installed it to the Vortex Mod Manager, it told me to log into my Nexus account so i did.

but i got this error message instead : " This file does not have an app associated with it performing this action. Please install an

app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page."

After i got this message, i simply googled on how to fix this issue and it seems like i'm the only one who got this issue.

Closes thing i could get is its not Vortex problem, its my computers problem but i'm still not sure about it.

Anyone else got this problem?

and is there a way to fix it cause its stopping me from installing mods onto Fallout 4

I did post a similiar topic few hours ago but i didn't receive the help i needed.

I downloaded and installed the Vortex Mod Manager and tried to log into my Nexus account.

But it didn't let me and gave me this error message: " This file does not have an app associated with it performing this action. Please install an

app or, if one is already installed, create an association in the Default Apps Settings page."

I have no clue on what to do, i did some research and heard that its either my PC's problem or Vortex having a problem.

So i hope u can atleast help me cause its boring without any mods.

Merged your two threads, please do not keep opening topics about the same thing.

If you are using Chrome, you must close Chrome, apply the fix and re-open it.

Your PC is telling you it doesn't know how to handle NXM links, which is fixed with the instructions Augusta provided.
