RockKnocker1
From the Skyrim nexus I could not get SkyUI5 to be downloaded by NMM, the website said NMM did not have Skyrim selected as a game, but it did and lauched SKSE64 just fine. So I downloaded whatever vortex was and downloaded SkyUI5 through that. Vortex showed all the mods from NMM but they were "disabled" I "enabled" all of them that I wanted along with SkyUI5. Now I can not launch Skyrim or SKSE at all. Not from desktop icons, NMM, or Steam. I cursed loudly and deleted Vortex but I can still not lauch Skyrim.... Can anyone help me. Did you IMPORT your mods from NMM, or did you just Install Vortex and think you could manage all the mods NMM installed without Importing? If so, then that's not Vortex's fault. Also, did you make sure you updated NMM (latest version 0.65.10) so that it would work with the Nexus Website? And did you change this setting in NMM so it would download from the nexus? RockKnocker1
I did not import the mods that I know of. Vortex showed all the mods from NMM in it's mods section so I figured that was that. I upgraded to the latest version of NMM last night, but I did not go into NMM setting and change "Associat with NXM URLs" I've never had to do that before. Did the new update of NMM stop working before or after you installed Vortex? Also, that's what this button is for Now, since you deleted Vortex, just stick with NMM because you're blaming something on Vortex that wasn't it's fault, and set NMM back up to handle NXM links via:
RockKnocker1
The new update of NMM wasn't working before Vortex, that's why I tried Vortex to download SkyUI. I will go the the setting in NMM and see if I can get it to work. Thanks. Edit... I looked into the settings and under Gerneral- Associations my three boxes are are checked just like your screenshot. I still can not launch Skyrim or SKSE.
RockKnocker1
Ok. So I downloaded SkyUI5 manually and when looking in my Data folder two SkyUI files were already in the folder from the SkyUI download in Vortex, I removed the two files and SKSE works again, I can get in a play the game but now SkyUI. I followed the manual installation instructions and it seems that Vortex failed to install the "fomod" file from SkyUI5. With the contents of the manually downloaded SkyUI placed into the Data folder the game works but I do not have SkyUI in game. The instructions for manually installing SkyUI for the final step says toIn the Skyrim Launcher, select Data Files and enable SkyUI.esp. But in my launcher, as far as I can see, I dont have a "Data Files" option to use.... Ok, I found SkyUI in NMM instead of the game launcher, when activated the game wont work again, I've changed the load order but it doesn't help. HadToRegister
So can you use the "ADD FILE" button in NMM to add it to NMM so you can install SKyUI?Also, sometimes you have to TURN OFF the NXM file association in NMM, shut NMM down, then restart it, and turn the file association back on in order to get it to "stick"
RockKnocker1
That's worked, kind of. I used the add file and installed SkyUI but it said that my version of SKSE was too old but I just installed the latest version last night. With the SkyUI box checked in NMM plugin section the game will still not launch, with the box unchecked the game works fine. In game SKSE seems fine and everything says its running the correct version.

RockKnocker1
Special Edition. And using the latest version SKSE64. Edit..... Ok! got it figured out and working, after you brought it up I looked into if there was two versions of SkyUI5. I downloaded the wrong SkyUI5, I had the version for Skyrim not Skyrim SE. Thanks a ton for all you help!
