Loading Consecutively

I'm having trouble loading a game after one has already been loaded, even of the same character. Basically, loading the game normally is fine, playing is fine, loading quicksaves is fine, but if I try to load another save afterwards, it would give me the error, Oblivion isn't responding and has to be shut down. I run LOTS of mods, and I disabled the ones that don't work. Is there a reason why it doesn't work?

You may note this issue happens most of times when the load involve cell changes and normally is associated with the same problem that ctd or lock the normal Oblivion exit. It seems to be related with conflicting objects saved in the game being similar but not the same as the actual load order expect to place or remove them, leading to deadlocks.

In most severe cases this deadlock may happens even while the initial (not inside the game) saved game load. The loading stops at some point. I had this trouble once as the load order and the bashing done by balo in Wrye's batch changed the FCOM recommended. It isn't a problem with each of those load order themselves, since the games saved with balo order didn't work with FCOM order, and visa versa. I'm saying this just to supply an example for what may cause those deadlocks.

Sadly this is a problem with no easy solution. Most of times that savegame may be compromised beyond one for the actual setup.

Edit: Changes in the load order and even the install order of mods regarding the saved games, propagating over the time with no apparent issues, one day will charge it's price and when it does may be hard to pay it.

Posedit: The only "sure" way I can advise is: Chose carefully the mods you want and know will conflict among themselves. Even when they can be patched and bashed to work together. Once this is done, define the load (and install) order and stick to it religiously. There is no complete warranty this will do the trick, but surely will reduce the troubles to the very minimal possible.
