Sardax
Hello.I apologize in advance for my English because mistakes can occur. Some time ago I decided to play skyrim again after a few months break. I decided to play with mods for my first time. So I installed Vortex. I downloaded a few mods, when I realized something was wrong. In the skyrim folder, these .esp files did not appear (I'm sorry for my unprofessional approach, I'm new to modding). It seems to me that the mods are installed somewhere else and they do not have access to the game. Or something like that. Could someone help me? Thanks in advance. somerandomsheepthathops
Did you deploy your mods? Vortex should do it automatically, but make sure they're enabled in Vortex, and hit the deploy button.

I received error messages, but I do not know what to do.These messages are:Symlink Deployment - Doesn't work with games based on the gamebryo engineSymlink Deployment (Run as administrator) - Doesn't work with games based on the gamebryo engineHardlink Deployment - Works only if mods are installed on the same drive as the gameMove Deployment (Experimental!) - Works only if mods are installed on the same drive as the game Can you help me? somerandomsheepthathops
I can try to, but I can't say how much help I can offer. I've never encountered this issue before. Where are your mods in comparison to your game? They need to be on the same partition for Vortex to work with Hardlink Deployment. Since it's mentioning three different deployment methods, go under settings -> mods; then see what method is being used. If your game and Vortex installation are both on the same hard-drive, use Hardlink Deployment. If that fails, give Move Deployment a shot and see what it does. Is your current version of Vortex updated? What OS are you using? Windows 7? 10? Linux?

You need to have your Mod Deployment Folder on the same drive as the game in order to use Hardlink. The error message is telling you what you need to do. Simple as that, make a new mod deployment folder on the same drive as your games.
