why i can't use the same folders

i just moved my storage drives to a new system all the drives have the same letters

i installed a fresh copy of vortex on the C: drive on a fresh OS install and my games are all on the D: drive in the same spot how do i get pass this

i don't want to make new folders when nothing has changed

nexus mod manager never had problems with this

the staging folder is here D:\VortexMods\skyrimse

the downloads folder is here D:\Vortex Mod Downloads\skyrimse

and the game is here D:\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition

So temporarily move the files out of that folder, choose it in vortex, then move the files back in

that's going to tack forever with the amount of stuff i have in there  i feel like this is an oversight

welp I'm going to have to reinstall everything again cause vortex can't remember jack s*** cause all the info was stored on the C: drive in some dumb temp folder instead of the D: drive

like whose bright idea was that

who stores mod install info on the C: but the staging and downloads can be put any where else

i feel like some of the mod info should be also stored in a separate folder that you can pick so migrating will be easier
