mcstreet
im not gonan argue with neone you all have very good points which are all in one way or another correct...but for a brief moment imagine if morrowind or a later version was to go online(not as a rule single player could be avaliable for non onliners)...things like setting up your own camp for you and a friend or two...earn money control cities in a mass group and the most feared is of course the leader...joinin some online friends and raiding peoples forts/camps etc...own cults and ways of life....options to smuggle illgal goods between players...hard nosed merchants with the ability to be as fair or as harsh as you see fit...plus hundreds of hundreds more possibilities...the whole idea of makin morrowind a life rather than a game would be no longer a wish................however its not like its gonna happen but its nice to dream for a while. hyperk1
sorry i didnt read like the last couple post(too long for me <_< ) but i would have to agree with perigrine that multiplayer in morrowind would be a bad idea, but if you made a new game without mods or sleeping or te stuff that conflicts with online mode then so be it. Also i scimmed and it said how could you do the quest for the "uber" item and let other people do it as well?well you don't, first come first serve, its more realistic that way. The bethesda people running the servers would add quests on a daily basis or something to the quest house or something(places to get quests) so that you dont run out of things to do. MDH Weaponeer
Marxist male without a father, stop putting words into my mouth. I did NOT say I was going to whine at Bethesda. I was simply saying that we could get a list of suggestions that could make it possible. And by the way, I'm aware that they've got an online Battle Arena plan for The Elder Scrolls IV. That sounds perticularly interesting. Even if it's NOT morrowind, I'd love to see bethesda work on an online game, because they would do some pretty cool stuff. So, if it was to be a completely new game, what would your guy's suggestions for this new title be? And about people beating eachother up, I SAID POWERFUL ONLINE GUARD BOTS. saldrex
One thing it is not a completely new game. All the games in the elderscrolls series are actually the same. Alll are set within the same lands but diffeerent sections of them. The game has not changed too much in the general layout. the imperial guard have been the same in ES I and ES II. They are all basically the same game except for improved graphics, a somewhat different plot, and it takes place in a differnt province otherwise you can do just as much in all the others. ALL OF THE MORROWIND GAMES HAVE NAMES BASED ON WHERE THEY TAKE PLACE AND IT WILL ALWAYS BE THE SAME. DAggerfall is the name of one and the name of a regionMorrowind is the name of one game and regionRedguard (one of their productions) tkaes place in the redguard provinceAnd i believe the same goes for their first in the series name arena i believe that it is named around the region but have not played much of it or listened much to the dialog to remember and it does not run on xp  i doubt that they will stay much from their naming traditions for the new name i bet it has to do with the region of the new game and it would not be a completely new game or they would never finish it since very thing is based of older versions. hyperk1
Well the new game is from what i've heard going to be called "Oblivion" but anyways.. its not like they are locked into naming there games after the region, just like making it online would break a tradition, so would the changing of the title/type of game. Dark0ne
I really do feel sorry for people who come to these forums asking questions and get ripped to shreds... ..wait, multiplayer Morrowind..?.. ...cancel that.
Deleted31005User
imo, morrowind online is an option and it would be nice to have, It's good to have people asking questions about this (maybe it will bring some enlightning in Bethesda's minds for some future online game like morrowind).Afterall, whats better then playersupport and feedback from players? So please! stop with negative posts and give MDH Weaponeer some positive ones. (/me = ready to be flamed at) :P
MDH Weaponeer
You guys are all acting like I said "hands down, there should be a multiplayer Morrowind" - I DIDN'T SAY THAT! I just said it would be interesting to tackle the idea and try to solve the problems the idea would have in different ways. I thought you might understand that, but it seems that 90% of you either only read a quarter of the post, or skipped it completely and just mocked what everyone else said so they could get another post. You know, I was seriously suprised at your reaction seeing that most other forums I've been on are quite open minded and idealistic to the prospect. Try to remember, people, that this thread it about suggestion.
MDH Weaponeer
what about modes that you can play online, but aren't actually in the game world itself. For example, you could host battle arena games. First you'd join the game, choose to be a fighter or a spectator. If you're a fighter, you can bring whichever saved character that you have into the game. Players take turns fighting in the Arena, two at a time... stuff like that. Or there could be limited ones. High Elf Mages only, and such...
thanateros
Morrowind multiplayer would only work over a closed LAN or IP game with at most 8 other people who you probably would know anyway. A massive server is just an awful idea and would effectively kill the game because everyone would be on the lookout for 10 year old illusionist mages who PK people walking around the map.
