The_Warrior_of_The_Light
Remeber the begining for that is when you learn to live and have fun and find your reson of living. And remember that every person was a newbe at some point so you are not alone.
Sirr
I'd like to second that... I've been in other online forums and played other RPGs online (especially Diablo) where people with a few months playing time and high-level characters have no respect for the new people. Remember where you came from. Even the most god-like 99th level character was a weak, uninformed newbie at some point. I've been playing computer games for about 23 years, and I've found that sharing hints and info that make it easier for new players to enjoy a game keeps the games popular and that means someone will keep making them and making them better... So next time a nOOb asks you a question, remeber that it was YOU once doing the same thing...
ThetaOrionis01
On the forums I visit, newbies are usually made welcome, and people are happy to help with problems, pass on hints etc. And it's good to get more opinions to keep forums interesting. What does begin to annoy even the most patient forum veteran, though, is when the same question is asked for the 357th time because nobody bothered to spend 30 seconds on a search, or even to scroll back a forum page or two to have a look at the list of topics - where the question has already been comprehensively answered. So I can also understand that people can get fed up in that situation.
[TB]AEEE
I think Theta Orionis has a good point there! But....I spent a long time reading threads in this forum and still have some questions on my mind. Most of these things might have been discussed, but that was before my time here! So .... We don´t want to get on your nerves, we just want to know!"
tmons78
AEEE,Aug 7 2003, 08:02 PM] .... We don´t want to get on your nerves, we just want to know! In defense of all newbies out there (myself included) I agree with AEEE. I am still relatively new to the whole forum thing, but I just want to say that most newbies don't mean any harm. They have seen that questions can get answered really quickly on a forum, and so they join, and ask the question. They don't really know that there is a search option. So take it easy on em/us, ok? :)
Switch
lol yeah agreed.
