oblivionfan52
the new team on blacktreegaming has done this purely to gain money from it and the site was created to create and share mods for free with unlimited download speed ect WITH NO PAYMENTS!!! Did Tannin stage a coup that we haven't heard about?
falloutchad
I've tried to get behind Vortex a few times but it really is shocking! I really hope NMM doesn't get phased out entirely. Or that's the end of Nexus mods for me.
Dark0ne
I've tried to get behind Vortex a few times but it really is shocking! I really hope NMM doesn't get phased out entirely. Or that's the end of Nexus mods for me. It can't ever be "phased out" because it's released as open source and available for anyone to share and download both in executable and source code form. Down the line, the web services are going to be updated and improved to match our new public API, at which point NMM is going to need to be updated as well else it will no longer work with the website (e.g. you'll need to manually download mods, then add them to NMM, as the "Download with Manager" button will no longer work properly on the site with NMM). We won't be doing that update to NMM, but anyone else can, as the software is open source. If that's your idea of "phasing out" NMM, then yes, at some point, NMM is going to be "phased out". However, the software will still manage mods properly for the games it currently manages now, and that's never going to change unless the games themselves change, which is unlikely.
