Why can vortex not continue downloads, and why no direct link to mod page?

These were core functions of NMM - not mad, just curious how this was overlooked.

 

If you close vortex, any downloads in progress cannot be continued after re-launching program. I think they might time out as well if you queue too many.

 

And, to boot, I cannot easily get back to the Nexus page for the mod in question - in NMM, you could always easily get to the nexus page for any mod.

There are direct links to the mod pages if you double click on a mod, the right hand panel will pop out.
It helps to read the knowledge base and watch the tutorials

Look at that "VISIT ON NEXUSMODS. COM" under the Red Box I drew, at the bottom right in the screenshot, that will bring you right to the mod's page

As for why you can't resume a download, (from what I understand) the download links for each mod are temporary, so they only last a certain amount of time, then they renew

I found a github thread about that being fixed, eventually, or at least reported / confirmed as a bug.

 

And no, no link to the nexus page from that panel - not from failed downloads at least since those aren't listed in the mods tab / panel. Thank you for the tip though - I hadn't checked that from the mods tab, just getting started with vortex and have not yet enabled a mod - was just downloading them.

 

So yeah, I have about 40 mods to re-download and have to google / search nexus, or history, for each. Not the end of the world, but definitely a pain in the arse.

Oh I see, you were looking for links from the failed downloads, the option I showed you was for mods already downloaded.
