ThelebKaarna
Long story short I have 338 mods/248 plugins stable with Skyrim SE, several profiles, etc. Recently began experiencing a problem with a non-related Windows Application. Finally reaching out to MS tech support, they concluded some part of my Microsoft User Account had become corrupt. They Set me up with a new user account (removing the old one). Now when I launch Vortex and sign-in, it behaves like it's been freshly installed. All my games, profiles, settings, etc are totally gone. Any way I can get Vortex back to the way it was? Edit: Forgot to mention, all my mods are still present in my Data Folder, folder structures, staging folder, utilities, etc are all still present and unchanged. ThelebKaarna
FIXED IT!!! I discovered some remnants of the original MS User Account that their tech didn't remove from my system when he set me up with a new User Account. In the old AppData's "Local" and "Roaming" folders I found where Vortex apparently stores it's settings. Copying these to the new User Account AppData folders fully restored my Vortex set-up, profiles, mods, utilities, etc. Whew! Dodged that bullet! HadToRegister
I, and I'm sure that others, are thankful that you consistently come back and post followups of how you fixed things. It's really appreciated.Too often we get someone posting a problem, then they come back and say the most frustrating sentence in the world "Never Mind I Fixed It" without telling anybody how they fixed it.So once again, Thank you. That info is also good to know if making backups of your setup
ThelebKaarna
Thanks Friend=) Appreciate your kind words. We can all draw from the community's 'collective pool of knowledge' easy enough.... it's a good thing to give back to it when we can... and maybe help someone along the way in the process.
