frazer08000
I have been trying to run Mods on the Vortex but keep going nowhere as when i open the game it always comes up with the normal game with the SKSE running. All the mods say they are enabled and there are plugins open on the next page so i though it would be easy from there but i then opened the game and it was vanilla, no mod no new UI only SKSE running. Before that i have had problem with the mod section in settings. While Youtube videos show 3 paths mine only shows 1 and i dont know if it downloads to skyrim as everytime i try to make a new file on it come ups with a message saying i cant (See attacment). I am running Skyrim special edition on stream if that helps.
HadToRegister
I don't know why people keep insisting on putting the mod staging folder for ALL of their games, into one game Folder. Please read the built in knowledge base and watch the built in Video TutorialsThis problem is very common in the svortex support section. The pop up is telling you that you need to move the mod staging folder. So, move it.Vortex UI basics 101 For SKSE See that Banner on the highlighted FOSE?I clicked on the 3 vertical dots and picked "MAKE PRIMARY", that ensures that Vortex automatically runs the Script Extender for that particular game The Entry right above the Red Box called "MAKE PRIMARY

Did you move your Mod Staging Folder? Also, did you install SKSE64, NOT SKSE? Did you install SKSE64 correctly? SKSE64 install [ Installation ] 1. Copy the .dll and .exe files to your Skyrim SE directory. This is usually in your Program Files folder under Steam\SteamApps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\. If you see files named SkyrimSE and SkyrimSELauncher, this is the correct folder. Do not copy these files to the Data folder as with a normal mod. The "src" folder is only useful for programmers, most users can ignore it. 2. Copy the .pex files in Data\Scripts\ into the Data\Scripts\ folder of your installation. The .pex files are needed by all users of SKSE64.
