Did you get it ??

It's a great game, reminds me of Wow in some aspects ( i think they used the same game-engine).

The cinematics are good, and the dialogue is allright. The gameplay is awesome.

I haven't played TES yet. I'm playing through DA:O for the third time instead

Did we play the same game? Dialogue is awesome and gameplay is alright in my opinion! :P

Yes you are right the dialogue is awesome too. And i just love the way, they've made the plot flow. And i still think gameplay is awesome :whistling:

Yeah, Bioware nailed the storyline. Gameplay feels too slow for me, though. :/

Really, you could try some different mods to speed up combat?

I thought it was fast enough though. I DID get the autoloot mod, that is a great time-saver

Ive tried the mmos out there all god awful rinse & repeat low graphics bad storyline abominations. Ive played dao daawaking and da2 there all amazing da2 less so they changed style and pissed me off but its still a billion times better & cheaper than wow ever was :) so its definatly worth the$. But beware the rpg aspect is so good at end game ull cry about losin ur fake lover lol jk.

Yeah I did end up getting the faster combat mod, but the way the game was made still feels somewhat clunky. Oh well, it is tolerable and that is what counts. :)

I'm playing DA:O again after about 10 - 11 full runs and still loving it :) I guess this game suit me much better than TES (I gave up on Skyrim and Oblivion after like 10 hours? I'm so easiily bored of those games because of their lack of a driven story.) Anyhow, Imo, these are good and bad things of DA:O (DA 2 I only manage 1 full run =.= There are too many things wrong with it that I have to stop playing it in order to save my love for DA series =.=)

DA:O good's :

- Story. Both the origins, quests, and main storyline are well written. Deep, meaningful, and there are many touching moments.

- Various endings, all depends on the decisions you made along the way.

- Wonderful companions. They aren't just somebody you pick up on the way. They have interesting characteristic, background, and the relationship system is cool.

- Graphic. Well I know DA:O isn't the best looking game out there but it's still one of those games with "better graphic" than most. (one of the things that I hate the most in DA 2 is its crappy cartoon like graphic. Totally ruin the image of some DA:O characters)

- Music. Well I guess I just love Leliana's song so much lol

- toolset and mods (obviously lol)

- Voice acting. The actors did some seriously awesome job.

- Friendly community :) Well, I don't post much but I found many people are friendly and willing to help / answer nooby questions in DA's forum. Unlike some other game forums I've been before, where people just went on insulting each other or got all cocky and stuffs =.=

DA:O bads:

- Bugs. Most can be fixed by mods but the original game has some really annoying bugs, especially conversations.

- Somewhat boring action. It's kind of slow, simple, and most of the time pretty short. 90% of the time I was like: "huh? over already?" I think DA:O action is more toward tactics than actual combat. But again, if you want to bury yourself in the deep of a bloodbath, there are plenty other games for that. DA:O is a heavy story - light action game anyhow.

- Somehow small world. Only 5 main areas: Denderim, Redcliffe, circle of magi, Orzammar, Brecillia forest. After having to revisit the same place for the 10th time in one playthrouh, it can be quite broing.
