Cant start a new game when i run SKSE through Vortex (works without)

The problem is simple, and persists with mods enabled or not.

When i run SKSE through Vortex (and only SKSE, not standard skyrim executable), i am then unable to start a new game. The game will simple hang and not even proceed to the loading screen, showing the skyrim symbol.

I am perfectly able to run SKSE outside of Vortex and start a new game with no problems both with mods enabled and without. The issue is specifically only happening when i run SKSE through Vortex.

Initially i thought this was because Vortex had incorrectly loaded/placed the skyrim.ini some strange place (like Mod Organizer 2 had done once with me), but it would seem Vortex is using the .ini/prefs directly from the original location, so i'm at a bit of a loss for possible solutions.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

I believe I have same problem been battling this the whole day, I did try the fix you provided "HadToRegister" but it did not help the case, I even went further on and just try have SKSE64 only installed via vortex and still nothing, I suppose it saves space and possible nerves if I just quickly use the "Request Support Form"

Which version of Vortex are you on?

- 0.16.15
How many mods do you have installed?

- 1 (SKSE64 Current SE build 2.0.12 (runtime 1.5.62))

What environment are you running Vortex on?

- Windows 10 64-Bit
2. Be precise and concise in your report

Steps which I have taken is, Notice the strange issue, unload the mods, try to run it then, not working
Uninstall mods, try to run it then, not working
Uninstall, Reinstall Skyrim SE, and run it once so it generates the registry data, download SKSE64, version mentioned on Mods Installed section, not working
Launched and played it Vanilla until my hands got unbound, made a save, and tried to load that, that is when i received this...

3. Provide helpful screenshots and/or log files

I will gladly provide any vortes log text files, but boy they are extensive, unsure should i post the whole thingamajing

You might misunderstand me, the location target is fine, i am perfectly able to boot/run SKSE through Vortex, what i am however unable to, is to start a New Game in skyrim when i have run the executable (skse64_loader.exe) through Vortex.

The skyrim logo simply hangs with no progression, but this problem does not persist if i run the SKSE executable outside of Vortex.

Target should be something similar to this: D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\skse64_loader.exe

Start In should be something similar to this : D:\Games\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim Special Edition\

click on the three vertical dots in the rectangle in the dahsboard in the SKSE entry

Funny enough, i had the exact same issue on my save right before and im using the exact same versions as you. I did the same as you, clean skyrem SE install, re-download SKSE, re-download Vortex, same issue, with or without mods enabled/installed or not.
