dragonslayer2k12
I have been looking at jenncave's mods lately and the settlement extended mods trying to find a balance between them all that I like and I got this idea... why has nobody done what I'm looking for yet? I use scrap everything mod and as we all know it kills FPS for some computers. Well instead of using scrap everything why don't we have a mod that scraps some things already? Scrap ALL the junk and trees and bushes and crap outside the build borders up to a certain range like 100 or 150 get rid of all that turret range blocking crap once and for all. Any group of people trying to settle somewhere would cut down nearby trees and take nearby stuff as scrap it would not be left to rot outside of a settlement. By disabling all this crap and fixing things so pre combines and pre vis are not broken it should actually INCREASE FPS in these areas right? Also we wouldn't have to spend the time ya know, scrapping this stuff and be able to actually play the game. Croup manor is a prime example of what I'm talking about it has all those turret blocking trees everywhere and junk all over the road nearby. I have looked through all the croup manor mods and none of them fix these problems they instead focus on fixing a run down building that most of us probably just scrap anyway. I scrap the whole place and delete the basement load door with console commands build a new house on the site with snappy house kit mod and be done with it. Scrap everything mod is great for scrapping, I'm just really tired of scrapping stuff it kills my gameplay now having to console command away the same crap again and again every time I start over. Ethreon
Why would anyone not do that? Because nobody here cares to do that. It's an idiotic amount of work and more so, it's something you want specifically, so it's your job to do it.
SKKmods
Mod authors typically produce mods that solve their own game issues. What you are suggesting is clearly either not an issue, or too much effort to do right. I have made one settlement fully scrappable with a single linked master object and regenerated precombines. Its just not worth the effort. [ scrapall ] is good enough for zero effort.
HeyYou
Build high disables previs, and precombines ONLY in the buildable area, and a little bit outside of it. Combined with scrap everything, and NOT disabling precombines with the ini edit, makes almost everything scrappable within the build area. Yes, you have to do it yourself, but, LOTS of good materials there. There are also the various 'clean and smooth' mods for settlements. You start with a clean slate. Just flat dirt in the build area. Don't know what they do with all the stuff that isn't there any more. Do you get the resources that would have generated? Or do you start at zero? I don't know.
