GrimmGrimm12
The rest of the story. As stated I spent from 100-200 dollars trying to get CheatHappens to work and then joining the Nexus Mod site. CheatHappens says there was just too much activity and not enough interest? So I basically wasted that money. Then I started researching ways to mod my way in. As said before, I like to cheat big time (when it is only me). I would never cheat at a table with Pathfinder or D&D players, but I really don't like to lose and I find it very interesting to make new setups and try them out. I literally spend hours doing this. I did "finally" figure out how to do what I wanted. I wanted to set beginning stats to 20, give myself 2 million gold and set the experience in excess of level 20 (and see what happens)! Part of the problem with discovering how to do all this was that some modders confuse the files party.json and player.json when they talk about it and part to do with videos not being dated (so you can find the latest changes). You need Winrar or 7-zip to open the archive file and you will need notepad ++ to edit the file. You have to find where your game files with Owlcat games is located. This is complicated in that mine were hidden (so I had to learn how to make them unhidden). Once you do though, just pull the game file to the desktop. Then open with winrar or 7-zip (open archive). Then pull the files player.json and party.json to the desktop. One file will allow you to change the money to any amount, the other file will do the stats and experience. It is really easy for me to do now. But I am not sure enough to take you through this step by step. I am sure there are modders who are capable of explaining it very well though. When you have made all the changes, you move those files back into the save file. Then you move the entire save file back into the directory were your saves are kept. Then you just restart the game from menu and you will have 20 stats (plus any bonus stat), 2 million gold and lots of experience. Once you do this, you will have your superman to play on Pathfinder. Three exploits I wish to tell you about. 1) There is one that allows you to approach the fog and just before the encounter pops up to have you turn back you do R (for rest), followed by esc and space bar. What this does is it allows you to bypass the fog before it lifts. You can literally go anywhere then. This is not my discovery but there is a great guy who has a video of how it works. Look for video of how to get Ira's heart from the beginning. Once you get this (and you are running solo), you can patiently use the 1d12 per round damage aura to take down enemies you could not face off with - yet.... 2) There is a lich in the lonely barrows that you can not presently get to. But once you are a level 7 wizard or level 8 sorcerer, you can get dimension door. With that, you can dimension door into the crypt. Then with high stealth and/or invisibility (and lots of patience) you can then take all of them out. I was level 15 when I did this and I made 2 levels! There are lots of goodies to pick up here! 3) Head west and south and head to right above Pitrax to the tournament. You will want to complete (and win) all the events to get the lessor ring of protection (I think it's called), but there are also advanced headbands and belts, special weapons/armor, and for the wizard a few really nice high level spells to put in your spell book. WARNING: Once you do these things, don't spend a lot of time on the other side of the fog (or river) as you are on a countdown. You have time to do these things and get back, but taking the bandit king out is on a timer and it will end your game. You can download a complete (discovered) map to help you out with directions. Anyway, have fun and I hoping to see Pathfinder Kingmaker make a come back. And before they shut the door on too much fun, I plan on making lots of saves of beginning level and advanced characters (in case they ever shut the door on all this cheating goodness)! lol And, as always, I welcome corrections to my response. mike w.
